You don't have DI yet.
He'd have to find them first: They went into diaspora.
Hack doesn't have many leads, he only has a few friends and he doesn't really know what the cult was about.

well lets start with what we have

Surprisingly, the fact that Hack has joined CH has gotten around. Hack actually receives a contact from Pensieve Rassus, the one close friend he had among the necromancers. "Our master's revival is nigh. You will be the instrument. Speak to me in Chicago Park to begin the preparations."

"what time?" hack is guessing that it will be after nightfall

Actually, in broad daylight. Much less suspicious. Head to Chicago, prepare some first, what?

Your CH ID includes a tracking device that you can turn on and off at your convenience.
Chicago Park has elegant pathways, a small house and white tiny fences to keep people out of the foliage. You identify Pensieve sitting on a bench, wearing a jogging outfit, casually reading the New York Times, while the sports section is sitting to his side.

sit down on the bench beside him "hello Pensieve"

"Hi." Self-conscious about the suit, he says, "I've always found being totally and completely normal and obvious is the best way to avoid detection."

"strange how that works isn't it, what must we prepare for the event and how?" hack's tone only seems like it's a question when he says he word how suggesting that he know's what and he's just being cautious

"Within the newspaper are some items that will help explain."

Hack opens the newspaper and reads the appropreate "articles"

|

The articles are filled with the many fragments of the cult, what little data has been collected. "We have been forced to be a soldiarity movement, a cell structure. This folder could very well bring down all of us. It is a sign of our master's trust that you can have it."

"I have my proposals, but Inferno made clear from however you met him that you were supposed to be an equal partner."

"We must find all the farflung members, including some who have gone into a Lulled ['sleeper'] status; recruit new ones; begin to battle our rivals; and rediscover our resources."

"let's start with the Lulled"
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 6, 2006 18:36:36 GMT -5
The man nods.
(You can go ahead and make up any members of the cult or tell me what members you have already developed.)

well there was dark inferno who was king then Lycoan chillbane who was 2nd in command and practially inferno's brother, as well as a werewolf then Marrl of the spike, named so because of how his leigions rose, implaed, although he spawned the dead from the earth itself (one of the arts learned by some of the higher members including inferno) as well as an elf named Firual, which translates to holy darkness, kind of gives you a taste of his personality, nice guy, no problem with the arts of necromancy

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 6, 2006 19:48:10 GMT -5
Would any of them be Lulled, in your view?
|
|
|
Post by Vincent Hack on Jun 8, 2006 17:43:52 GMT -5
Firual definitely, the other two not so sure we'll start with the elf
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 8, 2006 18:56:12 GMT -5
The man says, "Firual was especially good at hiding himself. We have very little knowledge as to where he is, but we guess Faerun."

"naturally" Hack now heads to Faerun, rassus may come if he desires

Pensieve indeed does come along. While he never was the most powerful spellcaster, he was a master of cultivating contacts and finding or procuring ingredients for powerful rituals.
What's the strategy of searching once they arrive in Faerun?

well I can think of a few places we could easily gain knowledge *cough * thay *cough* even if they dispise nonhumans they'll still keep tabs on powerful spell casters
