(Post Taklinn to the New Members Post Here thread I am making).
Krane says, "Discovery is irrelevant. All facts are there to be seen, one must simply remove the veils in one's own mind that prevent them from being understood. If we wish to understand what she is doing, we need only see where she is trying to lead us away from. If she is acquiring a firing device, does that not imply a shell? And if she is manipulating others to fight us, does that not mean that she has something or someone to find before she wishes to fight us directly? Perhaps if we seek out these Harbingers or the devices she is looking for, we will find her."

"thank you Krane," Hack intends to find whatever she is looking for by following Krane's advice

Krane's advice would logically suggest either seeking out armaments or people.

There is the team's Black Market, Hack's contact, or the Ultimate Shop to begin the search.

Are you going to go for Vasili, the information broker, your Divine Aura folk, or others?
Post by Vincent Hack on Jun 1, 2006 18:59:54 GMT -5
Divine Aura people, Vasili's info is too expensive
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 1, 2006 19:43:27 GMT -5
Unfortunately, the Divine Aura folks currently have heard nothing, and it seems that the few leads they might have possibly had incredibly tangentially have dried up. Pretty suspiciously, really.

oh well be investigating that dry up the

The best super-tangential lead was a scumbag who poses as a drunk but really is an accomplished Taoist and Drunken Boxer, staggering blindly from dimension to dimension. He has completely fallen off the radar. Finding him would be nigh-impossible given his method of travel.

I'm not trying to find any one, just a reason for all of them to drop off the radar near simultaneously

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 1, 2006 19:51:58 GMT -5
Well, you're not sure if it's simultaneous, since these guys don't check in with their criminal contacts every week. But a darn good reason would be Itek or any of Itek's buddies.

Naturally, any one else (Quion or Sarashito) got anything

Quion has a friend who has been hearing of strange requests for weapons and archaeological work, a master artifact creator, buffer and finder named Errol Batrios.

let's go talk to him then
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 5, 2006 19:17:15 GMT -5
Quion says, "I think he just does this to piss me off, but there's a whole rigamarole to meet him. Especially with a new person. There's usually some kind of scavenger hunt or riddle - do you want to expend the time?"
Post by Vincent Hack on Jun 6, 2006 18:01:32 GMT -5
"nah, you talk to him then. unless you want me to get violent with him"

"All right, so when what will you be doing?" Quion asks. Sarashito looks at Hack and says, "You're back to... square onu, right?" She still is having some difficulty with English colloquialisms.

"yep, been thinking about a little slight of hand"
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 6, 2006 19:07:15 GMT -5
Sarashito shrugs. "What do you mean?"
Post by Vincent Hack on Jun 8, 2006 17:46:40 GMT -5
telepathiclly to Sarashito and Quion <I mean Tricking her into thinking I am a mole, I just don't want anyone overhearing>
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 8, 2006 18:35:40 GMT -5
Sarashito telepathically sends back, <I imagine that she'd see that coming, especially considering how open your telepathic communication is. But then again, you are pretty violent... We might be able to do it a bit differently...>

<whatever works>
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jun 12, 2006 18:55:17 GMT -5
<We might be able to have you try to get in, have her think that you are trying to trick her, but have you slowly enjoy violence... A triple-cross, basically.>

<sounds fun>

<This is a pretty extensive decision: You might even end up being under her control. Gonna risk it?>
