But they could easily be out of your sight range, which seems logical. You might waste energy. That okay?

Illyria attempts to dispel the illusion, but finds that there are none.
Everyone else can act.

Duke Nukem and Gunn are more physical attack oriented, as is Angel. Duke and Angel may have some utilities, but it's more likely that they'd use supernatural senses or radar or something.
However, you have yet to assign all your Jobs, and haven't assigned Jobs to many of the new people.

Illyria's already done her turn.
Mayuri can use some kind of camera thing or throw out some of those observation microbes.

Mayuri puts out the microbes. This does not take his turn since it requires a simple flick of a finger. The microbes fill the air and give him an immediate sense of much of the building and beyond. Unfortunately, he does not yet see the opponent.

let's leave the building.

Everyone can do that for their move action; what is their standard and minor actions? (OOG: I don't use exactly the D&D system, but generally move minor standard is fine).

unless something happens, yeah.

All right. You guys go out into the street finally. The damage to the building seems largely localized. In the street, you see a demon whose skin and body slowly transitions from black to white (bottom to top). He seems to be moderately muscled, neither lanky nor immensely bulky. His head has a crown of horns that come together to form a large point that then spreads out in four cardinal directions. He seems to be surrounded by debris, energy crackling along him.

Can mayuri have the microbes focus on this guy?

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Dec 22, 2011 14:51:22 GMT -5
You can certainly attempt to do so.
When Mayuri guides his microbes, however, they somehow fail to get anywhere near him. He shakes his finger, "Tsk tsk tsk".

mayuri tries to analyze the energy surrounding the demon.

In the brief time Mayuri has available to him, he's not quite sure what the demon does.
Since everyone used a full move action, it is the demon's action again.
The demon rears his hand back and punches it forward. At that moment, there is a wall of physical force that smashes much of the party. Illyria seems mostly unfazed, which is itself interesting. Angel, on the other hand, is harmed. Mayuri sees the attack pass harmlessly through him, again interesting. Duke Nukem is slammed into a wall, as is Gunn. Masonry falls down, harming them more but no one else. Retsu also sees the attack pass harmlessly through her.
"My powers over reality are infinite", the demon brags. "Make your peace".
Everyone may go.
OOG: Also, where did Gabriel Belmont go?

Mayuri is gonna try and use his shikai on this guy. Illyria is gonna cast poison on him. Retsu is gonna heal angel who will try and figure out what is going on. gunn and duke will try and shoot him.

Mayuri activates his shikai. He charges in, getting a rapid blow since the opponent seems to underestimate his speed (what with Mayuri's reputation as a scientist). The poison on his arm not only paralyzes him but also seems to start to cause sepsis. However, the demon angrily waves his arm and throws him back, smashing him into a wall badly.
Illyria aggravates that poison with her spell. However, at this point, the demon seems to be purged of his poison entirely, and healed.
Retsu heals Angel. Angel can fihgt, by the way.
Gunn fires, but the bullets seem to disappear entirely.
What will Duke shoot with? (You can look up any of his guns or just go for "Specialty", "Energy", "Explosives", "Shotgun", "Pistol", etc. I can also give you a gun list).

Duke readies the BMF Thunderstrike. This immensely powerful particle pulse weapon blasts at the demon... and there is a shower of ultraviolet and hot blue. The demon still gets hit hard, but Mayuri is instantly able to identify what is happening: There is a magnetic shield in play. The magnetic shield partially, but not completely, deflected the sheer force of the particles.
Angel charges in, but is being held in place, running in mid-air. It is at this point that Mayuri identifies that the other attacks have been magnetic: Warping the building by its metal reinforcements (columns, rebar, various furniture, etc.); throwing people back by any ferromagnetic items on them; etc. It seems that this demon uses his magnetic powers combined with a few tricks to make himself seem unbeatable.
