Tachi agrees. "Please do so. I had a replacement, but I don't want to impose more."

"I was hoping you'd say that. She should be there day after tomorrow" his father replies. This liberty having been taken with handling the cover person for his restaurant only furthering the idea that Tachi's father really wishes to speak with him.
"Just be sure to look but not touch. I hear she can also be a bit tense. See you at the airport" he finishes.

Tachi shrugs. He's a consummate gentleman, despite what his father thinks. He waits for a bit for her to arrive, handling any last prep he can.

Tachi does as much last minute prep as he can.
Before he knows it he is on the verge of leaving his restaurant for another long trip. This time to China with his father for the holidays. He is in the middle of setting out the very last of the notes when he hears someone walk through the front door.
Coming out to meet them Tachi sees a young woman, most likely in her mid to late twenties, with short brown hair and eyes. Her clothing while modest does not completely conceal that she has a fairly nice body. What catches Tachi off guard however is her demenour. The young woman's look, posture, and speech bear not a trace of her true origin.
"Hello. My name is Eiko Touma. I'm supposed to be filling in here from tomorrow on and I thought I'd visit the place beforehand" she explains with a bow.

OOG: HOW BIG ARE HER TITS
Tachi is not at all unimpressed by her. He is curious as to where she is from, but does not find it professional to ask. "Yes, thank you for your diligence. Do you have some time to review the protocols?"

"Sure" she nods following Tachi back towards the kitchen.
"I take it you are the restaurant's owner mr...?"

"Inazuka, and no, I am only a co-owner. The primary investor and business manager is another gentleman. I am the head chef".

"Ah. Nice to meet you Mr. Inazuka" she replies. Though she has probably been briefed about the circumstances of the restaraunt and its owners she still shows just a glimmer of surprise at this information.
"I take it the owner will be in tomorrow so I may meet him as well before I begin?" she asks.

Tachi nods. "Barring unexpected complications, I will have him drop by and discuss with you. But he handles the managerial side of the business, I handle the cooking. You shouldn't need to discuss much with him".

"I see. Very well then" she nods.
Eiko follows Tachi through his clarification of the proper procedures. As he walks her through each one it is of note that she shows little to no bias and seems to accept them as she hears them. Something not as prevalent in other cooks as is in her. Before long she has heard everything Tachi would ask of her while he is gone.

"Good. Then good luck."

With that last "Good luck" a whole event seems to flow forth.
Tachi leaving his restaurant behind for another trip far away to further himself, a stern talk with his father. Hard choices are made despite the lax holiday atmosphere. Hard training follows. Despite all this the holidays pass almost as quickly as they came.
With such different and joyous events that made the holidays (particularly this one) so special it is a wonder what will step forth to fill the void next.

Tachi is sure that subsequent holidays will be just as fruitful, for the Iron Dragonfly has flown.

Dragonflies having flown, snow having fallen and then melted many now look towards the coming new year with a sense of anticipation. Weather or not he knows it there are others who look forward to HIS next move with anticipation of a different sort. Some more so than others.
Upon returning to his restaurant he finds not a note of how things went but Eiko Touma, fill in head chef, with a personal report.
"Good morning Mr. Inazuka, I trust that you will find the restaurant to be in order. I have kept a log of exactly what has been used and served, the intake of profits over the time you were gone and successfully squelched some of your friends attempts to hold unscrupulous New Years celebrations after hours" she says handing Tachi a rather thick ledger. "You will find those among other things noted in here. The only real problem encountered was the strange woman who lives on the second floor. She insisted she did not leave so I felt it necessary to leave her alone. I am not mistaken I trust?"

Tachi shakes his head. "No, not at all. She has actually been very helpful for security purposes. Excellent work! I will write you a glowing letter of recommendation".

"Thank you very much Mr. Inazuka" the young woman bows. "Before I forget I should also mention that there was a call for you. A girl left a late night message less than a night ago". Though it may be Tachi's imagination Miss Touma seems slightly perturbed by this event as she retells it.
"You will find it on the restaurants answering machine should you wish to hear it".

Tachi is a little concerned now. "I do. Thank you for your diligent work". Tachi bows, puts on his apron and listens to the message as he prepares for the pre-school prep.

"Hey you" comes a familiar female voice. Though it is obvious she speaks with a purpose her message comes off as more than a little sensual. "Wanna get together again? Same place as before? Some of my friends are in town and I thought you might like to meet them. I know they'd love to meet you".

Time slips past Tachi for before he realizes it he is at his same table with almost the same company. This time flanking the this time crimson red leather clad mystery woman are two guys. Both still in the same yakuza wannabe suits he last saw them in.
Izuho and Nabushin.
Together the three sit down. Both Izuho and Nabushin nod greetings before letting Tachi's original company take the lead.
"So how was your trip? I heard you went on quite the vacation" she says about as casually as someone cutting your hair would inquire about the weather.

"I did. Learned a few new tricks, spent quality time with the family." Tachi would not be outdone in nonchalance.

"That sounds nice. My holiday was pretty good too, went on a trip of my own" she replies. "how is your family by the way? I hear this tiff with Yuu hasn't exactly helped relationships within the family".
Izuho and Nabushin exchange brief glances but say nothing.

"From what I hear you're the only one" she says folding her hands in font of her on the table.
"She's right" Izuho speaks now. "We've been holed up for a while now waiting for whatever clean-up crew to come. They may have only sent one guy but he's certainly one messed up mother fucker"
"Problem is" Nabushin takes over "as of recently he seems to have just stopped. We don't like it, it doesn't make sense. If we're gonna make it through this we need to move, and to move we can't be blind...we suspect you can tell us something. Help us out you know?"

OOG: Tachi doesn't know anything, right?
Tachi shakes his head. "All I know is that they're still coming".

Post by blacktothefuture on Jan 12, 2011 12:35:22 GMT -5
"Of course they are. That much is obvious" Nabushin says.
"But we've heard that they're after you guys too. And that you guys can actually fight them" Izuho finishes. "From what I hear if anyone on their hit list has a chance of living it's you guys".
"Don't get the wrong idea though" Nabushin picks up again "we're not gonna cling to your gang like cowards. We just figure we might as well try to pool efforts so at least the guys who went to so much trouble to save us the first time get outta this fine".
Though her company is rather talkative it seems that Tachi's female acquaintance doesn't have too much to say about any of this.

Tachi says, "I told my dad that if it came to it I'd go to war. I'd give evidence to the cops, beat up their members, intercept their drugs, do whatever it took. We can use your help." He turns to her. "What do you have to say about this?"

"Only that I'm up for anything" she replies with a sly smile.
"You've all got quite the bunch of balls" calls a familiar figure walking towards the group. Tachi recognizes him as the martial arts specialist of the three assassins that have been hounding his friends.
Both Nabushin and Izuho go rigid at the sight of him. The girl of the group does not however, seemingly interested in this new company as opposed to frightened.
"Talking about going to war with organized crime on a task force of maybe ten people at best. Most of which unarmed. Death is surely around the corner for all of you" he continues pulling up a seat from a different table.
