The barriers fight the ring well, but Taklinn is incapable of moving, the energy form attacking him is keeping him completely still. It appears something drastic may need to be done...

i suppose hack must cut off Taklinn's finger Ki remove the ring from the stump and then re-attach the finger by holding it to the stump and Lay on hands it, then Hack sends the ring (telekenitically) to the cosmic forge for disenchantment sound good

The ring seems beyond the ability of anyone on the team to destroy, not even Mauler's Cosmic Forge. Wish to still cut off Taklinn's finger?

Mavar shrugs. "Perhaps it is not meant to be removed. The attacks are below the threshold that could actually kill Taklinn."

Mavar says, "It does not APPEAR evil. But if we are to ride it out, we should be leaving." She looks with some degree of jealousy at Hack.

OOG: Have you added the items to your sheets?
Taklinn is somewhat slowed by the constant fighting. Will the team slow down to his speed, maybe even slower to pace?

lets slow to his speed, with Hack up ahead scouting

Mavar stays between Taklinn and Hack, reasoning that she is the least endurant of the group and that she needs to be between the two in case of needing to heal. Suddenly, multiple bolts of lightning come down, creating thick torus-shaped electric fields. Taklinn amazingly can respond, but Hack and Mavar are quite suddenly trapped in place and shocked. The storm whips up and makes the fight very confusing... Taklinn's response, then Mavar, then Hack.

Taklinn can't do Shield of Vigilance, it's a Forbidden Keen ability and he only has Godlike Keen. But he would have Forbidden Strength and Endurance barriers. Add anything else in lieu of that or just using the Catcher?

I was planning on using one of his barriers to deflect the lightning away from the other two

That might be a bit difficult given his low speed to coordinate both a Lightning Catch and a defensive shield around the others.

acctually i was planning a denensie funnel to the lightning catch but lets just use the shield (edited char sheet to shield of might)

...Denensie Funnel?
So you're just creating a shield around you and the others with Strength?

a sort of funnel if you will towards the lightnig catcher, sealed off on the other end

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Aug 19, 2006 18:57:27 GMT -5
So you're going to do the funnel, then?

yes

Taklinn masterfully orchestrates the funnel's execution, easily responding in time and moving with preternatural grace. The three bolts are slowly dragged to him, but holding onto all three even with the Catcher is proving a daunting task.
That task becomes more daunting when four shapes of ball lighting begin to advance forward, two about to strike Taklinn! Luckily, Mavar and Hack have opportunities to parry the incoming attacks, essenitially massive ball-and-chain swings, the one facing Hack coming in from a downward angle onto his shoulderblade and neck, the one facing Mavar going low to the ground. Taklinn, unfortunately, does not have the opportunity, meaning Mavar and Hack may have to pull some clever move to spare him.

clever move from hack, informed fist giant kick one ball into as many others as possible

That'd be the two fighting Taklinn, maybe three if you can make it bounce appropriately. Bouncing will introduce a strike penalty.

i realize that,

Hack kicks forward... but the one attacking him blocks with a powerful electromagnetic shield. Luckily, he spins about and strikes the two hitting Taklinn. One continues to advance, but the other is intercepted.
What would Hack like Mavar to do?
