wonderful! "Ah, it seems Renan may have fallen prey to an ancient instinct of some sort. I think we have enough info to begin our search now."

Kagau says, "...The Monster Delvers? They're all but extinct. Oh, my God! They must have turned him into one! Well, they strike at night, if you want to wait for them..."
The Daemonix whispers, "How will we remove the curse, if that is actually what occured?"

"Containment can be a good place to start on that" Lets wait for the nighttime to destroy the world.

have my sealing incarnate lay down a sort of net of itself all through the town. i will hide in my counterattack form, so as to not let them know how powerful their foe is. the animals can nap in the barn until i summon them. the other fellows i hang out with can mostly wait, but have Kalaii send out his platinum slime to patrol the town while staying slightly underneath the soil to avoid detection. Beau will sit in the clocktower saying GERO GER O GERO GERO, which means getting ready to snipe.

Silence seems to grip the streets. Despite Gramor being a big city, few of its people stay up into the late hours, and with the attacks of these creatures (which, thanks to Mogu, have taken no lives), people mostly stay inside. Kalaii says, "Man, Zee could practically cook this silence, it's so fuggin thick." The city is divided into a few section as follows:
*A public commercial, market and work center *An outlying industrial location *More traditional residential apartments like what Kagau lives in; a lot of non-Earth Eaters live here *Nested apartment complexes like where Mogu lived in the game, usually lived in by extended families or groups of friends *An underground arboretum, park, zoo, and other entertainment centers *An expanding area of the city under construction

have my animals take on animal forms and patrol the zoo obviously, the daemonix will sit in the construction section disguised as a big piece of machinery, the sealing incarnate will set up its traps in the industry section. if possible, i want brun to become a mist, probably through the hildegarn training, and just sort of float through the areas that haven't been covered. have my allies guard all the residences, incognito.

and also, its really obvious to me that Rudra is just there version of Ruby Dragon and dont say it aint cause on the other ones they dont capitalize the D either, so yeah, we can call it that if you want. dont matter though

Rudra sounds awesome to me (in the original FF it was R. Dra I think but it might have changed in FF2), and I wouldn't be surprised if you were right because the space in the old games for English letters were limited.
The patrols go off without a hitch. Roughly about thirty minutes into the patrols, Uther detects something and attempts to seal it.

I mean changed in the GBA version.
In the industrial section, inside an underground factory, a colossal mole-looking creature is moving slowly around the sealing effect. It is crushing conveyor belts, cranes... The factory is roughly three stories tall and has a number of clear windows at the second and third stories.

Have Brun crash into the building and do a big ass pin move like the ones i most likely learned in the DT. have all my minions do a big x-strike once i do this.

Still in mist form? And how will he make it so his minions can pass through him without a risk of him being harmed?

|
Post by halfhero on Mar 18, 2006 22:59:42 GMT -5
well, i was thinking i would form above it to pin it, then have the 8 minions do a octagon type strike whee they all rush at it and dash past it at different angles, slashing it 8 times in a big circles around its body

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 19, 2006 0:03:37 GMT -5
Ah, makes sense. Just have to hope the mole doesn't dive down. Fog form or no?

not fog, and can uther solidify the ground beneath it somehow, or maybe one of my other minions could do it.

All right, so what form? Uther possibly could, but it's trying to hold it still. Another minion could possibly, but which?

The creature fights like the bejeezus, throwing Brunnengus around brutally. The minions do not have a good shot.

keep trying, go for some immobilizing strikes

Finally, Brunnengus gets a pinning lock. The minions come in and strike the delver... but the creature's thick hide makes even their powerful blow seem meaningless.
The creature begins spinning at horrendous speeds, its fur becoming like spines. It cannot get into the ground thanks to Uther, so it begins to bounce around the whole factory, forming a fusillade of debris and striking the whole team. Brunnengus loses his grip.
The remaining patrols detect two more, one closing in to Kagau's area and another in the market.

Ok, inform all teams and minions that these things likely cant be harmed by low damage attacks, and its pointless to waste energy on non focused attacks.
Charge up, running in circles fast around the building, trying to synch up with his motions and get a cleaner strike.

(Oh, BTW: Rudra is a god from Indian myth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudra)The communication gets through, but it's clear that danger is coming and the team is having more difficulty than expected... Brunnengus amazingly syncs, the super-powered Fel Gren effect and the training from Touya, Shredder, Raizen, Fou Lu and Kuja making him much faster than his innate speed. He has his strike: Now what will it be?

Brunnenges and whatever other teammates who can will cast Amplify Damage on Brun, then he will dive down for a massive Grapple Tooth strike, hoping to hold on and play some angry rodeo games.
Have Kalaii send out all his monsters to combat the one near Kagau's residence. And have Beau stay in the tower where he was a sniping and get ready for a good shot on the ones Kalaii is gonna engage.
The other three guys need to go with the Daemonix to the market area to try and stay that attack.

Brunnengus miraculously strikes the fast-moving creature, latching on for dear life. Unfortunately, even with the Amplify Damage effect, the damage is not nearly as profound as the latching. Fortunately, the Grapple Tooth's tongue and pinning keeps the creature down and dazed for the moment.
Kalaii can control three of his monsters simultaneously at maximum. The Platinum Slime slips in and sends out a massive protoplasmic appendage... and strikes thick burrowing needles, getting stuck to it. From what Kalaii has heard, Brunnengus gets the idea that this one is the strongest of the Delvers, stronger even than the one Brunnengus is combatting. Does Beau plan on doing any particular type of shot, or to any particular location?
In the market area, the Monster Delver is busily eating the trash from the previous day, rapidly filling itself. It seems to be one of the weaker ones, gaunt and lanky.
Are you accounting for X-Rog and Ganba's turn?

Have Beau do an acid shot to try and melt away some of the armor on the one Kalaii is fighting. X-Rog is going to climb up onto a good sized building near Kalaii and go for a biiig overhead strike on this delver's neck. Ganba will try and turn the ground under Kalaii's deliver all muddy and sluggish to move through.
Kalaii will use the platinum slime, the magma elemental, and the armor knight thinggie he got.

Beau notches the arrow and hastily takes a shot, seeing that the incredible non-optical perceptions of the Monster Delver [we'll call it MD3, the one by Kagau] has caught Beau. The acid arrow streaks down, and the creature shuffles away at amazing speeds. The area struck instantaneously is melted down to the Earth's core, catching the Delver with a glancing area-of-effect strike. The Delver seems scarcely harmed.
X-Rog leaps down with his curved weapon, and luckily the creature came closer to him rather than further. His rage causes an eruption of lava from down below, a massive plume striking the creature while he hits it down. Two forces equalize and the lava and remaining acid reduce its strength. A plantive wail comes out, "KAG....."
Ganba's strategy forms a sudden mudslide that covers up that tunnel that was made by the acid. That does reduce the creature's escape route.

What about the market area one?

The one Brunnengus is fighting can now be hit by his minions. They should go.
