I'm going to use this thread to start a sign up for all people interested in playing a moderately sized group of Mandate of the Gods. For those of you who don't know what Mandate is, please PM me and I'll give you a description (I would like to keep this thread to people interested in playing/basic character concepts/party concepts).

I, of course, am in.
Mandate, for those who don't know, is a fantasy continuity of Mike's own design.

Mandate is in all of its heavenly orgasmic goodness one of the best games that I have had the joy and honor of playing. I'm totally in.

Awesome. Welcome, Colin! Go ahead and post to Black Veil, play your dude in Heroes Unlimited: Heroes, check out Laughing Man's Sin City post, start making a character for CotG, maybe make an FB party... whatever else you want.

That makes five (Tyler, Kyle, Fred, Colin, Cory)... Need one more, unless you guys want me to just go with this?

James might be in. Any more than that acceptable?

I'd like to keep it moderately small, I'm fairly flexible on the size though.. knowing Mandate, things have a habit of splitting up (kinda like the Fellowship in LotR)... We may end up with three small groups or something.

Just to tell folks here: I'm going for a heavy brick type, a combo range/melee person (range using slings and similar).

Sounds good, it looks like this may turn into some sort of sea-faring type adventure. You wouldn't be pirates, unless you chose to take that path, but I'm just letting you know since it seems like many of you are choosing characters that have good boating skills...
If you want to do a land-based adventure we could do that too, I'm flexible. I'm still working on the campaign and it would work either way.

Sea-faring campaigns imply some degree of equipment and power, and we are running one on this forum. But run whatever feels appropriate. Remember that other folks may sign up, so do try to make it flexible. I look forward to this, big man!

Well, by sea-faring it means mostly like in Final Fantasy games where you're in a boat traveling from location to location, with occasional occurances on the boat itself.

Right. Ergo, we own a boat. Ergo, we own the shit to run a boat. That's some cash.

|
Post by Ominai on Nov 30, 2005 2:30:48 GMT -5
Either that or we start out as cronies and gofers to the captain of the boat... it doesn't necessarily have to belong to the players.

Good point. It's still a nice advantage, though.

Yeah, you would definately not own the boat... Tyler had a closer idea of what's going on, but there's always opportunity for mutiny if you don't like the captain.

I suppose Chris could be the last, if we are all in agreeance we can move on to the Character Creation step (which Fred is almost done with)
