Strikes me that it makes some sense to have it for the PBP. It lets people quantify their characters. Having that clear comparative idea is vital for online stuff.
Niloc, you need to start making characters and posting to Rifts and Black Veil.

The stats system is pretty simple. Four stats (Strength, Dexterity, Intellect, Fortitude) each starting at a base of 10. Players can reallocate points to a max of 2 per stat (meaning you can drop one stat by 2 points and put those two into another). The first step is to figure out racial stats, then allocate. Then you just figure your modifiers and you're done. Modifiers: 6 -4 7 -3 8 -2 9 -1 10 0 11 0 12 +1 13 +1 14 +2 15 +2 16 +3 EDIT: *slaps self* Forgot, you also get 4 points to distribute among the four stats. Can't believe I forgot that.

What are racial stats for a Kajuro? I'd imagine I'd take down Dexterity 1 and put it into Fort, then take one Str and put it into Int.

I thought you were planning on playing a Pheonix.. (Kajuro = St12 Dx9 In8 Ft11)

Oh yeah, Pheonix. Sorry. I'll wait till I see the Pheonix's starting attributes to min/max.

Pheonix = St10 Dx8 In11 Ft11

Then that'd be:
St10 Dx8 In11 Ft11
The 4 go into:
St + 2 - 12 Dx - +2 - 10 In - 11 Ft - 11
Nothing else.

Is that sensible for a brickly brick brick?

It's a good average build, no highs or lows. Generally I support that. Usually bricks like to aim for low intel and high fortitude, but being a mage you're probably going to want to keep the intel up... So I'd say, for what you're trying to do that's pretty good, but it's certainly not as bricky as it could be.

Yeah, I figured that since he's a Mage I need high enough Int to qualify for the class, and since I wanted to do ranged I needed Dex. I guess I'll basically be a Druid-equivalent: little bit of everything. Which is fun. I also assume a lot of brickiness comes from the class, so Int can sort of be counted as a surrogate Fort.
When we gonna start?

For some reason, you tend to send the same post or e-mail twice. Eh. Mike (Andersen, BTW) might be able to accomodate.

Some rules are provided in the Character Creation and Rules section. Unfortunately, w/o Mike on, your opportunities are fairly aborted.
Make characters for other games! Go wild!

No you can join, it's just that school has been really hectic right now. Since Christmas Break starts in like a couple days, I intend to get a nice firm set of character creation rules and get everyone set up to finally get going. Sorry for the delay, and I promise I'll get everyone started soon...

I said aborted. I didn't say permanently ended. When you abort a process in a compy, you can restart it... Yeah....

Shhhhh. (Actually, that fact wasn't relevant to my initial post, which is that you weren't posting, not that you weren't accepting new members.)
What do you expect ETA of the campaign to be, Mike? And might I start some SECRET antics?

Hard to say, I prolly won't be starting till after New Years... A bunch of stuff going on right now, but I should have some free-time around then. The thing is, I'm mostly working on pushing my game beyond BETA right now... I'm up to 38 pages right now in my book, which is about 1/10 of my estimated finished product. So it's not that I'm not working on Mandate, rather I'm working on a seperate aspect of it. I will be starting up soon though, for those that haven't completed their characters or started them, head over to the other threads about race and class. Start now, so we can start as soon as I'm ready!
