This is where Mauler, Fracas, Mica, Swaggard, Kumo and others may hit the slots and try to get lucky!

In responce to Kumo's question, Mica replies with a sly smile. "Use Fracas, he wont mind."
Fracas just shakes his head and gives Kumo a look of 'I dare ya'.
"All buckled in?" Mauler calls out without looking in the back seat. All the sudden everyone in the car feels something hit their back, then realizes it is their seat. Mauler's Alter car roars into action and the world streeks past. Looking back at Kumo and the others, and thus taking his eyes off the road, "Damn right Komo, never forget it."

Kumo seems surprisingly calm. "There's no point in correcting his pronounciation, Swaggard. When he's in this mode, he can't listen. Mauler! The destination is The Baron."

Jack buckles up, and just sits waiting silently.

Still looking back at Kumo, "The Baron? I thought we were going to a place called The Boron... Shit!" Turning his attention back to the road, he scans left, then right, then does a gut wrenching 260 degree turn. "Ok, back on track... Only two seconds late... Gonna have ta change that..." Mauler glows slightly with power and the Alter car seems to squeeze down, becoming more streamlined and dense while at the same time the sound of the engine increases tenfold. With a grin on his face, "Hold onto your souls!"
After skidding for 10 blocks, Mauler's Alter car finally stops in front of The Baron. "Damn... Didnt gain any time on that one." Hopping out of the horrifying vehicle, he throws the keys to the valet parker and walks in the casino without grabbing his parking stub.
Fracas looks for a door handle. Failing to find one, he gives a shrugging look to Kumo and peels off the roof of the car and steps out.
Mica rolls her eyes, "Men..." and portals out of the car right behind Fracas, backhanding him on the shoulder with a shake of her head. Pretending that the smack actually hurt, Fracas rubs his arm. "What?"

Jack will shadow port out of the car as well and follow them into the casino quietly.

"Since most casinos are named after elements, you fucking retard.", Kumo comments, tapping his cigar and straightening his suit.
There is a bellhop/valet out of the door. (Remember: All of you are currently incognito, in some form of disguise.) He opens his eyes with some fear at what transpires. Looking at the car's roof, he says, "Umm.... Should I park this?"

Mauler gives the bellhop a once-over glance. Squinting his eyes slightly, "If ya only stay in first gear, then maybe..."
Mica walks over to the bellhop and stand in front of him while putting her hand on his shoulder. "Try not to get yourself killed." The unsettling grin on her face and the greed in her eyes distract the young man as she subtlety casts a trigger activated latent teleporting portal on his shoulder where her hand is touching him. This way, if Mauler's Alter car proves to be too much for him, he will be teleported back to this spot before he gets himself killed.
Fracas walks past Mica, bumping her on purpose, and follows Mauler and Jack inside.

Kumo smiles as only a Moogle with a giant scar across his eye can and says, "Bring it back in one piece, ya hear?"
The group walks into the casino. Brilliant lights await them. Slot machines of ineffable difficulty flash away. The sound of roulette is heard, and the highest rollers play at the poker tables, not to mention all the alien games of hazard and chance. While the Baron is large enough on the outside, on the inside it seems like a maze of infinite size. Tittering women and high-rolling men, seniors and college kids, all of millions of races, play away.

Fracas heads off towards the slot machines with the intentions of winning that shiny new car.
Mauler kind of skips towards one of the hazard looking games, a devious smile hiding under his huge scarf.
Mica closes her eyes and follows the flow of chaos till she finds a game that has the most to do with pure chance.

When Fracas touches a slot machine, a reading comes up on the screen, "Tier 4.1. Tier 3.8 Reflexes." Is Fracas going to spend a lot per pull or a little, and is he going to go for the big success or the more reliable rolls?
Is he going for a game of chance or strategy?
Remember: Mica has no probability control here, or very subtle at best.

Fracas is hoping to win big on his first pull, so he will spend alot on that first one.
Well, I think a game of strategy is what Mauler would enjoy, however I really suck at strategy games...
I know Mica is going to have a hard time with controlling probability here, that is why she is so drawn to it.

What's the neighborhood of 'a lot', in GP terms?
Texas Hold'Em would work. I can make it much easier by describing 'tells' that Mauler sees.
I see. As a professional challenge, or just getting that rush of gambling?

I think jack would hit the black jack tables and maybe the wrelet tables. maybe craps too.

That's "roulette".
Is Jack high-rolling (risky) or looking to play the safe route?

|
Post by Ainsophaur on Feb 10, 2006 2:14:54 GMT -5
high-rolling of course

So, blackjack tables first?

Why not.

How many people do you want to play with at a table?
|
|
|
Post by Ainsophaur on Feb 13, 2006 0:59:01 GMT -5
Hmmm i dunno why not a full gambit.

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Feb 13, 2006 1:06:15 GMT -5
So five-six people?

All right. Jack sits down at a table. There's an Entan high-roller in a business suit visibly steaming (probably because he is the chip leader), an elderly grandmother clearly playing for fun in a sun dress, two teens from off the street still in board shorts and tanned skin, and a silent looking Quick-Flex Alien tapping her finger in an almost Michael-Jackson-esque outfit: purple trenchcoat and pink undershirt and pants.

...what a crowd....
Jack will wait to hear the openning bid, bid it and wait for his cards.

This is the current chipstacks:
Entan: 30,000 Grandmother: 500 Teens: 1000 each Alien: 15,000
Jack's sizing of them: The grandmother is the mark, the alien is a pro, the Entan is a very very good amateur, the teens are amateurs but are chaos factors. Jack bids first.

By chance does Jack have any skills like my Warlock has in rifts?
He'll put in a 1k bid.

Probability manipulation? Probably.
The teens put in 100, the Entan 1000, the grandmother 100, and the Quick-Flex 5000.

How likely would they detect the useage of that skill?

Very likely, as I noted to Mica.
