This time, she manages to track him. A half-speed reduction from 500 mph is a massive one, and the reduction to some extent of his momentum raises the rate at which he's falling.
Tyler sweeps down. The lights blind him and the sounds disorient him, yet he continues rocketing down. Intercepting Sephiroth, whose trajectory has finally taken him away from the building, managed to be done succesfully...
But now Tyler has another problem. He is swooping low to the street and into LasVegas night traffic. Luckily, there are no especially large cars... yet.
Bruce begins to scale the wall again.
Aeris can do that, when it's her turn.
The ice man conjures an ice grappling hook and swings away, running off far into the night.
Who was heading down to deal with the mirrored dude?
Ain't those lack of Jobs hurting you?

Bruce will actually begin dropping down to go take care of the Mirrored dude and the gunman, Tyler will fly down there with Knives once he gets some altitude and flys Sephiroth back to the roof.
The lack of jobs is hurting, yes... but I have no idea what to pick.

The gunman has long since disappeared. When Bruce Lee
Tyler, owing to not taking the problem seriously, has to divert too quickly from a truck and crashes into a building at incredible speeds. Tyler's out. Ironically, Sephiroth will now have to carry him, as Aeris restore him and Fred.
When Bruce gets to the dumpster, the enemy is gone. From a piece of glass comes a laser blast.
Well, not my problem. I listed some FF classes and you can always look up an FF5, Tactics, or Tactics Advance Class list.

Sephiroth has Spell Mastery, he can cast Life on Tyler.
You said that Il Duce was watching them from out the window and that the gunman was also out on the ground appearing unconscious?
Bruce is going to do a backflip and throw a Bola in the direction that the blast ricochetted from.

Sephiroth brings Ty back up. Ty has a concussion for some time.
Not the gunman, the mirror man. And the mirror man disappeared but Il Duce didn't notice it.
Bruce Lee succeeds almost as if by magic, then throws a bola and... hits nothing. He barely dodges another blast.

Well Il Duce is going to attempt to locate where the lasers are coming from and Sephy going to begin running as fast as he can for tha action.
Bruce is also going to attmpe to identify the laser shooter.

The lasers are coming from the piece of mirror, or to Il Duce's eyes, nowhere. Sephiroth runs up. Now that Il Duce is close to the window, a MASSIVE detonation occurs - remember that black item? The walls of the hotel are scorched and Il Duce is pushed out, but it is not lethal. No one knows if Bon Duke is okay.
Bruce gets just as far. Any other actions?

Bruce is going to start gathering up the bits of glass and putting them in the dumpster where they can't reflect anything.
Vash and anybodey else conscious on the roof will naturally run in to see what the explosion was and check on Bon Duke.
Sephy is going to cast Detect to see if it gives away the enemies position and to see what its weaknesses are.

Bruce does that. Suddenly, from above him, a MASSIVE burst of light comes from a building. Bruce manages to leap out of the dumpster, thus avoiding the direct damage, but the dumpster explodes, spreading burning and molten trash everywhere. Given all the tossed vegetable oil, rotten stuff, etc., it's practically a bomb at that temperature. Bruce is up but burnt and heavily damaged.
Vash and Knives will run through the building? Or go faster?
Sephy detects nothing.

Vash and Knives with run through the building.
Bruce is going to jump up to where the burst of light came from and Sephy will follow him.

By the time Vash and Knives have arrived, the gunman from before has returned. He is in a pitched gun battle with what remains of the guard group now that the door has been blasted down.
Il Duce is currently plummeting to death, by the way.
Bruce and Sephy leap up and find... nothing. Sephy finally gets a Detect off and find that the guy has teleported into a building. That's when they face a blast from a mirrored building.

Vash and Knives will both open fire on this fellow gunman each splitting apart to attempt to get different angles and differen't covers from him.
Bruce is going to attempt to dive out and tackle Il Duce through a window and roll with him so that he may set him down. If Ty can handle his concussion he is also going to attempt to catch Il Duce if Bruce fails to do so.
Sephy is going to cast Ice 3 on the dude and head that way.

As they run up, they have to deal with a trap (rather easily detectable, surprisingly) that slows them down. By then, the man has taken a maid cart and tossed it at them while firing back from behind a mattress and the rest of the furniture.
Yeah, jumping out on top of someone when you can't fly thus insuring you can't accelerate past terminal velocity.... bad idea. That leaves Ty. He manages to catch Il Duce, but at the cost of being shot.
Sephy is damn near out of MP.

Yeah, I'll have him drink an Ether when he has the chance.
Bruce wouldn't do that, you are right, he will just be heading over to where glitters is hiding.
Ty will bring Il Duce to the ground and set him somewhere safe.

|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Dec 7, 2005 2:15:36 GMT -5
He doesn't really have one in all this commotion.
Bruce doesn't know where that is yet because Sephy hasn't told him. What will Sephy do in his turn?Drink an Ether? Find the dude?
Ty does so. Suddenly, a laser rockets at him and criticals. It pierces through to Il Duce who now has a hole through his gut. Where do you consider "safe"?

Shitty.... well Sephiroth was still attempting to cast Ice 3 on the dude when he Detected him.
Bruce would just be looking around trying to locate him again.
Ty would try to put him like behind the building or something hoping that the guy doesn't shoot him.

He was. He was almost out of MP, too. Wanna risk negative MP? It's a FUN status effect!
Bruce ain't seeing him.
Behind which building? The hotel Duke's in?

Why do I not believe that it is fun in any way shape or form? He will try for Ice 2 and then find an Ether to drink. He will also tell Bruce the things location.
Bruce will head that way. Ty is going to send some healing energy into Il Duce's gut.

|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Dec 7, 2005 3:24:26 GMT -5
Because you're smart?
Sephiroth launches the Ice 2...then sees it shrinking, and shrinking, and becoming a boosted Ice 1. Sephiroth collapses. Bruce heads for the man. He faces a laser shot, as does Sephy.
Want to call backup from the Danger Room team?
And what about the people facing the man behind the mattress?

Bruce is going to do a flip to the side to dodge and Sephy is going to attempt (in his collapsed position) to fall out of the way even more. Ty will now run out and attempt to locate where Bruce is running to to shoot an energy blast at the man in the armor.
Aeris is going to cast Toad on the man behind the mattress and Vash and Knives will both continue barraging him.
Yeah, I'll call backup from the Danger Room team, that sounds like a wonderful idea.

Aeris is on the rooftop. She was healing Fred. She can't even see the guy. She and Fred will have to get down to the room. Fred could always throw up a barrier and carry her to the room through flight.
By flipping, Bruce avoids a body shot but gets a knee shot. Bruce is hurting pretty bad.
Sephiroth, meanwhile, is hit directly. His very soul feels weak, overexerted.
Ty can't see through a building.
Vash and Knives don't hit owing to the cover. Meanwhile, fire comes at them, perfectly targeted for their heads.

Fred will do exactly that.
If Bruce can see the crashed pelican he is going to run to it and look for a health pack on the inside and any salvageable weapons.
Sephiroth is going to search for an ether to use on himself.
Ty will head back to where the fight is going on.
Vash and Knives are going to attempt to roll to the sides behind a new set of cover and then they will return fire where the gunshots came through it.

Fred picks up Aeris and floats down, smiling and saying "Not everyday I get to give a pretty girl a piggy back ride." Fred and Aeris float down to the broken window, dozens of stories above the ground, but now they're open. The man throws an impact grenade, and Fred's shield takes a great hit, him and Aeris flying down into the street. Luckily, both are pretty much fully healed and restored.
The Pelican has been downed in the parking lot next to the hotel. The Helljumpers are all injured, and one has had his armor stripped, but they are luckily fine (surprisingly; hit men usually are more complete than this). Bruce now faces a moral quandary: heal himself or the men?
Which fight? The gunman or the light man?
Sephiroth is gone. He's out. Someone will have to inject him or make him drink an Ether.
Vash and Knives are both hit badly. Both are up and behind cover, Vash has a complete Limit Break he can launch, and Knives might want to heal the two of them.

Fred is going to rush Aeris over to the parking lot with the pelican with the same idea of finding useful equipment and she will be using a mana potion.
Bruce Will begin healing the helljumpers that need it the most.
Ty is going to go for the light man first; focusing on oscillating his energies confering about the demon and angel about what would be the best course of action.
The broters will do exactly what you suggested, Limit Break and Knives will heal them both.

That'd be pretty OOC for Fred and Aeris to abandon their attack plan just randomly.
Bruce applies first aid. Luckily, no lasers are coming... instead, that privilege is being sent at Ty and Sephiroth.
The demon says, "It's not just upstart humans who can use mirrors for power. Give me control and I will kill this man!"
Knives heals both of them luckily enough using healing salves, while Vash comes around the corner and fires his special bullet. The energy in the bullet forms into a massive gripping fist. The man's mattress is bashed over, as he begins to run and fire at the hand. The hand grabs him and holds him in mid-air. He is going to get out very soon, however.

Ok, I meant for the idea of getting useful equipment or something.
Bruce is going to continue healing the soldiers and hoping beyond hope that he doesn't get shot.
Ty is going to yield to the demon, because there is no doubt that he is about fed up with this entire situation.
The brothers are going to go for more headshots on the restricted man while searching for cover behind a counter.

I know, but both of them just made a badass entrance. It's time to press the attakx, bitches!
Bruce finishes healing. No lasers yet.
Ty's body grows inch-long bristles, and horrific torn leathery wings appear. The demon coalesces a great array of energy and fires at the mirrored hotel. Unfortunately, the blast destroys a room and continues through, burning through a father of three's leg. Fortunately, it hits the poor sucker and opens up the hotel.
The restricted man? You mean laser boy?

Good point. Well they are going to follow through on attacking their target.
Bruce is now going to find cover and begin healing himself.
Ty is going to continue letting the demon have its way but makes a point to remember to help the man after this is over.
The restricted man being the guy that is being held by the hand from Vash's bullet.

You didn't determine what their attack was.
Bruce faces a barrage of laser blasts all of a sudden.
Now that the building has been opened, Ty rockets at the laser boy... And is left empty in a collapsing room.
Ah, the gunman. The gunman moves partially out of the way of the shots. The gunman finally gets room to fire. Swinging down from his arm comes a howitzer-like grenade launcher that fires at Vash and Knives.

I thought I was letting Fred do whatever he wanted?
He's going to dive over the Pelican and let it take the hits.
Ty: "Well way to let you handle things Mr. Mirror Master."
Both Vash and Knives are going to attempt to shoot down the barrel and blow up the grenade and then dive out of the way.
