"Fuck me! Okay here is how its going to go, we are plowing though the zombies guys, this truck can easily do it, so if you want to fight get on top of the truck and take out those fucking birds, the zombies I can handle."
Revs the truck and starts plowing though the horde of zombies.

"sounds good to me" Quinn says while heading to the roof

Black heads to the roof of the land train along with Joe and Quinn to defend the craft from undead aerial attacks.
Doing his best to steady his nerves and knees Black draws his sword and stands at the ready. He will do his best to impale any undead that try to climb up through the head, as well as stay prepared to defend against the birds when they come.

OOG: he could chop himself in half if he is not careful with the lightsaber.
Mario rushes up to the roof after Quinn, Black, and Joe drawing his zanpakuto. "Alright guys the birds are gonna try to knock us over so there the top priority, remember they ARE zombie birds and might be able to infect you."
The closest zombie bird soars over the land and tries to rake and joe and black with a claw each, they have reaction to this.
Initiative is Quinn, Black, Ray, Fred, Brian, Joe, Mario.

Fred comes up and casts Ice on the nearest Zu. He wishes he had Fire, but against a flying enemy Ice should freeze the wings or the eyes and cause them to smash into something. If not, at least it'll do some damage before the bird gets closer. If they do not get closer, his next move will probably be to Cure the zombie, reasoning that their FF-style nature will make them vulnerable to the Cure. "I should be least vulnerable to infection being the least human. Let me tank this one when they get closer", he says. "And don't be afraid to try Cure! If they're FF zombies, at least some healing should work to harm them! Also, be careful with Zantetsuken, Joe, some instant death attacks don't work on zombies!"
Damn. Those poor people deserve better than to be run over with a truck.
OOG: Do we get both a pre-battle action and a battle action, or just the battle action?

Black will attempt to duck under attack and then, curious when Fred brings it up, will cast cure on the Zu that just attacked on his turn.

Brian'll hop to the flatbed portion of the train, and from there he'll flurry the M16's out from under his tux, pointing at the birds, he'll spray and pray and hope that his 7 Luck satisfies him

Joe, you need to RESPOND to the Zu. Not just keep shooting.

OOG: Not enough time for a pre battle action.
Ray nails the zombie zu in the head with ball bearings taking off half of its face. Black dives under the claw and hits the zu with cure, damaging it a bit. Brian shoots the hell out of the bird with bullets for critical damage. Freds ice nails it right on for a stunning hit. Mario slashes the creatures claw but the blade bounces off, not finding purchase. The zu is stunned thus giving everyone another turn (quinn has 2 turns to post as does joe after he posts his reaction to the claw)
Note that the Zu is currently perched on the side of the train so he IS in melee range.

Fred says, "Die, foul abomination!" as he beats the thing senseless with suddenly formed bear claws EMPOWERED by Loggy the Log (Fred's affectionate name for his beating log). He hopes that the barrage of 10 Strength bear claws will let him rip the thing a new one and keep it destabilized and stunned enough for a killing blow to be launched.

I will fire at the bird again then get back to driving.
OOC: Brian your not as safe on the flat bed as you are on top of the truck, the zombies can reach you there, they'll have a harder time reaching you but if enough of them stack up or get stacked up because im running them over they might get on the flat bed.

Post by DUNCE on Nov 19, 2008 12:19:51 GMT -5
OOC: theres a good reason i'm on the flat bed.... and this is it
Brian, seeing the Zu on the side of the train gets an idea... on the flatbed is his vehicle... and in his cehicle is the butcher's cleaver! Brian will recieve the cleaver from his car and move as fast and menacingly as possible over to striking distance, dragging the heavy blade along hapazardly
if Brian reaches said striking range, he'll take a swing at the massive bird's wings, trying to disable its ability to fly while yelling, "You outa time sucka!"
if Brian does not reach striking distance, he'll at least try to get onto the train car in front of him in case something happens to the flatbed, and then once it seems he's safely grabbed onto that car, he'll use his earth summon against the Zu

OOG: Remember, someone needs to go for a killing blow while it's stunned. Quinn, Fred, Ray and Brian have damaged it, so either Black or Joe needs to rip its head off.

Black will approach the Zu, careful of Quinn's current assault on the beast.
Then, holding the lightsaber in his hand he will point the igniting end at the Zu's head and turn it on only long enough to pierce the head. Then quickly turn if off again.

OOG: I wouldn't risk it, Ray. It's best with zombies to kill them utterly so there is no risk of infection.
Fred makes sure to pin the creature so that Black's killing blow with the saber strikes true.

OOG: Fred I don't know how you plan to pin a giant undead bird that is 30 ft tall and has a wing span is 60 ft wide but it must be pretty amazing and as far as I see it the only way you would get infected is to get injured or it puking blood all over you and into an mouth or such.

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Nov 19, 2008 17:03:01 GMT -5
OOG: Since it's already stunned and I have a high Strength and a lot of weight in bear form, all I need to do is pin part of it to drastically hinder mobility. It's like asking why just a few inches of iron shackle on your legs and arms reduce your mobility. In particular, birds having to have such thin membranes on the wing are very easy to keep from moving simply by having a very large weight on the wing. And in FF, it's not that hard to entangle those things, or punch their lights out as a Monk . As far as getting infected: My point was partially anyone else who comes by and deals with an injured, bleeding, zombie Zu.

another zu shows up on the opposite side of the train and casts white wind. the first is healed to full and is unstunned. So Fred is holding onto the one on the right side of the train. The one just showed up is on the left side of the train. They sweep there wings over the train in such a way that everyone gets nailed except ray (who is inside the train still) it hurts but does not knock anyone down.
Joes parry is successful and he ducks under the claw.
The right zu gets nailed with cure by Quinn taking some damage, then hits it with the saw dealing a bunch of damage. Blacks lightsaber nails the same one the head and damages it. The assault continues on the right one again with the ball bearing cannon. Fred shifts into a bear and hits the creature for good damage. Brian grabs the butchers cleaver and as he attacks the cleaver lets out a unearthly howl! A swarm of bloody abominations appear, then impale the zu with spears, after which the abominations dissipate immediately. Joe fires at the creature on his two turns, nailing it tremendously with the shells. Mario stomps the thing in the face so that it dismounts and looses balance on the train.
Your turns again.

Fred will push the first Zu off now that it is off balance with his tremendous, consolidated, dense weight and the creature's center of gravity being so precarious even before being staggered. He pushes with his claw so that he can get a tear and impact in the wing, so that the Zu will be unable to start flapping before it hits the ground, getting damaged by the high velocity of the "train".

Brian will see Quinn's tactic, and with that, try to swing at the left Zu and use the Earth summon at the same time (and if i can't do those at the same time, Brian will just use the cleaver for a decapitation move and use echo on it). Screaming for the allies to hear, "there's so many! we have to plow through this stuff NOW!"
