They are now above ground in a large mountaintop. Because of his feeble efforts, there are chasms and there are spires.

Mace grunts at his work and wipes some dirt clods that got on his shirtless chest. He stares at the mounds and decides he needs to finish this, but can't use magic. He groans inside at that and decides to fully use all his muscles. He believes the objective is to be able to move things without magic, relying on something else besides magic. Like how someone of great power doesn't use it to make a coffee mug fly over them to save them the trouble of getting up.

He crouches down low to the ground, getting his arms up to his forearms dug into the mud, and flex the muscles in his back, thighs, shins, and feet, pulling the mud up and trying to move the pile foreward at the same time.

Mace's efforts are feeble, and he pushes forward only slightly more mud than a normal human could.

"Gah!" Mace throws up his arms, mud flinging in various directions. He plops his rump down in the mud and breathes heavily, trying to comprehend how he's going to handle this. Does she actually -want- him to use cantomancy? If he can do that, he'd have this done in no time. He looks at the spires of mud and pits he spent hours carving the mud out of.

OOG: Nice . Twisting doesn't do wind at low levels, but it sure does help with landing and avoiding twisting your ankle.

Mace tries to get his feet steady. He is rapidly picking up the pace of falling... And he doesn't see an end any time soon.
