If people want to raise their power drastically and quickly! Options include:
*Spirit Cuffs - fight for awhile at lower power, say without access to any Transgressives, to get a powerful boost when done *Spirit Orb or similar - find an ancient trainer who will transfer their power to one *Special trainers *Special consumables like the Golden Apple from DBZ

On the team, Kumo and Artie in conjunction do among the most strenuous bodybuilding exercise, but Taklinn may want to find something more unique.

That's also way old. Grav training is ubiquitous nowadays.

Now THAT is nasty, you'd have to find a way to do that, but I'm not sure if that'd be done in this thread per se. This has to do with single, discrete actions that boost power massively, such as the Spirit Orb or Spirit Cuffs or... Special training can be done in Private Campaign.

Wanting to transfer the entirety of his amazing Strength? I could see that. Great concept, Taklinn will begin how?

I don't think so in this case, it's a primarily Faerun class. Viktor does have his Library of Black Lore, it may contain something on the Warhulk.

okay that would work too

Taklinn comes up to Viktor's room. Viktor is busily doing a slow meditative dance. The lights are dimmed except for six glowing candles arranged in a hexagonal configuration.

"What do you need, Paladin?", Viktor asks.

do you know of something called a warhulk, Obscenely strong warriors who can cut through Armies like a knife through warm butter

"I know of Warhulks, raw strength is a mere strength of scale and is inherently foolish."

"you aint seen one in action, while style is extremely simple, it is often the simplest strategy that is the best, less things can go wrong, but I digress, i need info on the first warhulk if you please"
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Oct 14, 2006 21:24:45 GMT -5
"Simple is elegant. Brute force is not. The first Warhulk was a Warforged who sought to surpass his innate limitations." He pulls out a book.

Post by Vincent Hack on Oct 16, 2006 22:14:48 GMT -5
"again you havent seen a warhulk in action, it may lack elegence but damn one can demoralize an army, what information have you on this warforged warhulk"

"Inelegant solutions are inferior. I have seen many a Warhulk in action and have torn their bleeding hearts from their chest. His names have varied across legend to legend", Viktor continues thumbing through a large book, "but we may use the most common name, Kikalaiee. Kikalaiee was called 'The Warhulk' because he developed ways of developing even a Warforged's strength, stacking on masses of metal and using it, surpassing his ingrown limitations."

ok question...is the buff temporary or permanent with spirit cuffs?
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Oct 17, 2006 23:45:00 GMT -5
Permanent. Once someone breaks the cuffs, it means they have mastered their spirit energy to a degree that they can constantly be using it at high levels like muscles.

Post by Vincent Hack on Oct 18, 2006 22:20:36 GMT -5
"elegance suggests complexity, movements that are unneeded, but where was Kikalaiee last seen"
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Oct 19, 2006 4:30:08 GMT -5
"Simplicity is elegant. Scale is inelegant. Kikalaiee disappeared after the Battle of Everglades, a particularly horrible butchery where Warhulks, Hulking Hurlers, and proto-Hexblades (another lost discipline) were unveiled by competing warlords, one with demonic and one with devilish affiliations. There were no victors."

"Only if you assume people stay around sites of trauma to them, fool."

"you knw nothing of the field of battle and the mindset of a warhulk do you, we fear nothing, most of us run almost gleefully into battle, that battlefield would not be a place of trauma, so much as a reminder to never repeat the same mistake"T keep in mind i specailize in the role of the combat loving tank, which is why i make a crazy berserker

"I am astounded that you call yourself a Paladin. The fact is that Kikalaiee must have disagreed, because he disappears from the records after that battle."
|

Post by Vincent Hack on Oct 24, 2006 23:05:07 GMT -5
"were you a paladin would you not run joyfully into battle with evil, okay records of him dissappear after the battle, so then i go there with a scroll of forbidden legend lore, should turn up a few details"
