Taklinn leaps into the air, far beyond the mud. The Kithrotto's adjustment period is so slow that Taklinn can afford a counter-attack or other action! (No F2s unless they are brief counter-attack specific F2s, per usual).

Taklinn flies downward, using his tremendous weight and strength to make a near-Down-Stab effect. The momentous might would shatter an entire continent in an instant... and yet the results are not impressive. The Kithrotto's watery body causes it to compress downwards, discharging the strike outwards. Taklinn undoubtedly curses his relative lack of skill, and the elemental nature of this foe. However, he does cause a crack in its surface.
In response, the Kithrotto emits a powerful gravito-electromagnetic pulse, the very power of the Earth hurling Taklinn skyward. [FN: RE 219/249]. In the process, Taklinn is stunned and disarmed of his sword; his armor pulses against him and he has a blistering headache. Taklinn's turn, as he is hurtling into the stratosphere and beyond at several times the speed of light.

Why not a fire spell that makes constant powerful jets that make you move at several times the speed of light and lets you adjust instantly?
