Anduris has recently been given the coordinates to a building, more a fortress designed to hold its treasures from all but the strongest, this fortress holds singularity weapons, wnoueh to give all of my characters (even the unearned ones) two singularity weapons, these weapons are at least transgressive in power, and i expect the dungeon to hold them accordingly (aka, i'm expecting to get my ass beat a fair few times)
now for the technical details of a singularity weapon, a singularity weapon, is a melee or ranged weapon that uses a quantum singularity as its damaging force, the weapon is very high tech in style with exception for the blade/tip/business end/bullet, which is a featureless black
this one should be fun

....No, he hasn't. No such coordinates have been given him. Such a place may, or may not, exist, but he'll have to do some digging. And singularity weapons can actually be Legendary; for example, the team's resident robot artillery, Prototype 08, has been auto-firing Homing Black Holes for quite some time. Nonetheless, yes, that is a possible quest and can produce deadly, deadly weapons. Especially if it can generate both white and black holes.
A dungeon may not be the location, though, more of a modern fortress/station/lab.

okay then lets go do some digging for transgressive singularity weapons, anduris shall search

Mac Kisaragi is the team's best on this score. With him working with the other hackers, he can rule things. What sort of search you thinking of asking him, if you like his plan?

i need coordinates to a large stash of Transgressive singularity weapons (this may end up as equipment hunt that profits the team and not just me) actually large isn't quite the word, Gargantuan is

Mac essentially says, "You can need 'em all you want, doc, I'm not finding anything like that. I do know that there've been a lot of people who've either discontinued singularity programs or who are nasty folk and we'd like to keep em away from em."

"hmm, well that makes things difficult, Vincent continue here i must speak with someone"A that someone is anduris' mother she may have a better idea as to the location of such a stash, and more desire to see them in the right hands "you absoultely sure of that, or are you just keeping it secret because someone may be watching you and you don't want them to find out"H

Anduris by now is able to telepathically commune with his mother. She says, "Whatcha need?" [FN: NPC-Know 261].
Mac looks angrily at Hack. "You call me a liar, psycho? Listen, I can't find anything right now. I'll keep working if you apologize."

<The Renn-Mitte Confederacy had a singularity program that was producing powerful but unstable projects. They cordoned it off in an unknown section of hyperspace.>
"Okay, dude, have fun on your own."

<Perhaps. Hyperspace isn't bad, but the defenses may be.>
We do need to determine the final price tag.

"All that tedious mucking about in hyperspace..." Good Hitchhiker's Guide reference.
In the BW, right?

Post by Vincent Hack on Oct 25, 2006 18:36:28 GMT -5
yes, as the dreadnaught is nowhere near finished

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Oct 29, 2006 4:15:29 GMT -5
The BW's hyperspatial drives do leave something to be desired, high in mobility but lacking in raw speed. Despite effective searching, the team has yet to find such a fortress. Is it a myth? Maybe the fortress has already been looted?
|
|
|
Post by Vincent Hack on Oct 29, 2006 20:57:34 GMT -5
aye perhaps the fortress has been looted, but it is also possible that it was not completely raided, and the strongest weapons being the most heavily guarded were out of reach to the raiders, leaving them for stronger warriors to take them

Then why can't you find it?
Now you guys are split between BW and Benefactor, right?

|
|
Post by Vincent Hack on Oct 30, 2006 20:51:47 GMT -5
yep, hop into the benefactor, BW is getting uncomfortable inferior technology perhaps

Everyone in Benefactor? Will you tow the BW? How will this work?
Possibly so.
