You mean, the path they have taken or the path they're going to take?

The path they -have- taken.

Again: Hack, don't imply other members are stupid, especially if that trades off with you posting. You still have a hall to go down. Mace's action was an exceptional one, as none of you actually know if the ship has been abandoned. He has now eliminated psychic traces for at least a few millenia, probably much longer, from consideration, giving you more information to go by. so it's definitely dead then, okay off to security

Brent walks straight down the path the group has taken. Laura calls out, "Idiot! We can't go down that way!"
What is dead? The ship?
As the group goes down Security, they see abandoned public kiosks for security functions, then a sealed gate.

No. It's quite active. And deadly. It just apparently never needed a crew, or a populace.

oh abandoned, intresting note to self: come back with re-enforcements to take on that totema hmm so we were off to the security wing and there were a few kiosks there, " okay anyone good with computers here" hack does not consider himself "good" with computers, his idea of fixing one is smacking it with a 20lb sledge until it fixes itself

Laura nods. "I don't see any open terminals, though, except a sort of 'Ask for help or questions' terminal right over there... But I may be able to do something with that, with Bombardi and your help, Hack."

Brent blinks (or as much as he can, being a group of floating symbols and a light blue aura) and just goes in the direction he senses Laura and the team are.

Party or team work: Remember, a BAD team is still a team. The rest of your group suddenly arrive: I'd love it if you could describe that, and each of your members.
Brent is now seeing Laura and the rest prepare to hack into the mainframe.

Since Brent is basically a consciousness floating around a bunch of keyboarding symbols, would he have any affinity for computer systems?
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jan 8, 2007 19:14:45 GMT -5
Yeah, I was wondering about that. I would think he would, at least at the level of computational rules.

"Mind if I take a look?" Brent asks, floating near the mainframe and wondering if he could let his essence become one with the mainframe to help navigate the system.

alright my entire team's arrivaland perhaps some description
okay first Victoria enters, she immedeately walks over to her brother, standing on the otherside of him from everyone else, generally all one sees is a black streak collide with Hack and then a beautiful seventeen year old girl is standing there
following her are two Giants, One with angel wings and gold leaf armor, the other with Demon Wings and Jet black armor and long white hair and beard, though the latter is slightly larger, they lean back against the wall
next comes an illithid speaking with what appears to be a demonic hybrid form werewolf, the illithid is wearing simple black robes, the werewolf is following the chewbacca rule, they are discussing the philosophy of christainity and it faults

Brent dettaches symbols from eachother that made a crude sort of body and floats into the electronics, trying to blend his consciousness with the machina.

Derrick and Sam are back, sorry about the wait.
Derrick" I cant take a look at that ive usually be fairly good with computers." (have a high computer skill hacking and tech affinity)
Sam examines the room and looks quizically at Brent.

OOG: Again, nice Hack.
When Brent presses into the machine, he sees a race's entire history pass before his eyes. Brutal savages using height, group motion and primitive tools and chemicals to hunt helpless beasts. Warlike savages developing magic and psionics. Introspective and rational scientists developing a Confederacy of learning and peace.
Laura nods. "Come over here."

Seeing as this is a Renn-Mitte ship, Mace may come seeking information on possible temple sites for parts. Actually, could he send Mento out to look around for information, joining in on the search of the ship?

Mento isn't your running dog: She could do some remote stuff if you sent her pictures, but she can't afford to spend much time away from her Professorial job, especially since she isn't CH and can't be everywhere at once.
As Brent continues to move forward into the system, he finds himself becoming... lost. He doesn't know where he is anymore.
OOG: Want me to distribute cards for you? And how long will Mace and everyone else wait for Brent?

|
Post by Mace Parshath on Feb 24, 2007 18:44:28 GMT -5
(They'll let him do as he wants, but they'll expect him back in a few hours, at the most.)
Brent looks around, wishing suddenly that he had left a sort of anchor point back at his point of entry. He tries to collect himself, adding to himself instead of dividing. He wonders, suddenly, if maybe the ship was designed for just this sort of thing.
