This particular hallway has nothing that's not behind the Totema.

"So whats the plan, dont tell me we get to distract it*Derrick says with a look of worry* but i spose if we have to we might as well, id love to see what secrets this place hides." Derrick
Sam readies his sword waiting for an answer and flexes.

....No, there's NOTHING ON THE OTHER SIDE EITHER. You just can't see far past it, but it's erecting an invincible forcefield that can't be passed. You need to look IN OTHER PATHWAYS.

"better idea than fighting it, go around, look in other hallways, once we get the back to HQ well call for back up to kick this thing down like we did with Valorian" the we part seems aimed more at everyone else but derrik and sam

Laura nods. "Which hallway, though?"

OOG: Hahahahahahaha.... HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH! Yeah, you're joking, right? Anyone with Telemechanics, most Supersoldier classes, etc. would have that (a mindjack). Laura has extensive cybernetic modification, so she can, and so can Bombardi. Derrick can do so both technologically and psychically. Direct mindjack into computers is old hat. Little kids do it.
"Why don't we roll rigged dice?!", Bombardi yells.

that was as far as hack's knowledge fred not mine, and technically hack's is with his eyes, he has to see look at it even if for only the tiniest fraction of a second "oh loaded craps, i cannot believe people are still doing that, i thought humanity would have grown out of it centuries ago"DI

OOG: I figured you would figure Hack would know, given that there's a difference between arrogant stupidity and an absolute lack of information on the technolgoical sophistication of the day ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . To be clear: Hack does know that. Laura turns to DI. "No, see, Bombardi is being crazy and saying we should roll dice that will be loaded so as to produce the right answer."

hack pulls out one of his chainsaws backs away from everyone else, spins it on the floor and he intends to go in which ever direction it points, or the nearest logical direction in the even it points into a wall

Hack's chainsaws point at 3. The fountain tells you that that is Security. Will Derrick and Sam follow?

(Can Brent get in on this?)

Brent can.

(This is if Brent is already with the group.)

(Brent will need to show up, but the entrance is constantly open and the group is still in the beginning hub.)

Brent will teleport to the area, and try to enter through the most noticeable entrance.

Brent sees the leftovers of Derrick's Growth, the Black Hawk and the loading bay.

Brent fluxes to Sensory Mage, using all forms of perception and senses to get a good look at the area. He tries to find a trail to see where the CH members went, and any left over 'foot prints' from the previous inhabitants of the ship.

|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Dec 14, 2006 21:49:01 GMT -5
Ultimately, that's unnecessary. Brent's initial senses are more than good enough to see that the group went to the center fountain, down a wrong path, were repulsed then are now heading down to Security.

Well, Brent is going to try and find out any missed signs, foot prints, aura-tracks that may show desperation to go find a weapon and where they will run into one when it's panic, or maybe an extreme case of safety so there should be caution.

Dude, first of all, you don't just Flux CPs. You can Flux to P.A./Keen, flux to different trainers, etc. Second, you shouldn't Flux all the time.
Any missed signs of what? Any missed foot prints of what? What do you mean by that aura-tracks sentence, I have no idea what that means.

Emotional imprints, like, say a horrible event takes place, and everyone runs around screaming. That leaves a psychic imprint. Brent's looking for any signs of someone being absurdly calm in that kind of situation, normally meaning they had a plan or something.
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Dec 23, 2006 21:33:51 GMT -5
Nothing like that whatsoever. The place hasn't been visited for millenia, the imprints have long since been absorbed into the ship.

Again: Hack, don't imply other members are stupid, especially if that trades off with you posting. You still have a hall to go down. Mace's action was an exceptional one, as none of you actually know if the ship has been abandoned. He has now eliminated psychic traces for at least a few millenia, probably much longer, from consideration, giving you more information to go by.

Thanks Fred.
Anywho, Brent will follow the path the rest of the CH has taken and continue searching for anything unusual, like magical spells, AI, or even the power source of the ship.
