Per usual, getting new Summons typically requires beating them. Any ideas?
EDIT: Milkdrop found a Book of Summons in the Magister. It contains clues to the locations of powerful ancient summons.

Is there anyway to goto the remenates of the old universe, the orgin of Mr. E? Im sure if theres anything left, that wasn't created here, would be way badassness, and im sure could be a killer summon.

Hell no. At least none anyone is aware of, not even Mr. E. You could always ask your teammates, of course. But yes, Excelsior beasts would be fun and nasty.

Now that Jack is an Excelsior, Jack knows that there might be a few Excelsior beasts left. Jack recognized, for example, that Minia, Daedrous' fairy, was a second universe beast. However, there are far more third universe summons that need to be found first.

Lists of ones that haven't been gained already are few and far between. The team has most of the core FF Summons, but some Golden Sun Summons and some rare FF Summons (i.e. all the Summons in GF format, etc.) are not communal blessings yet. And it's likely that the old Elemental Fiends (FF1, FF4, etc.) might be summons too if they can be found again.

Well the info says Elemental fiend....Fiends are a demon type....so...perhaps they should planeshift to an elemental plane and move to an tainted elemental area and start looking? And Im going to bet its going to be in the roughest of all areas possible.
First things first..The team will do so...they will shift to the plane of water and begin looking for an evil pressense WAY deep inside the realm.

That's nice derivation, but not necessarily true. The Elemental Fiends of the words of Final Fantasy came in four and would serve a great evil: Chaos in FF1, Zemus/Golbez in FF4. They were killed in various locations and places. They may have been sent back to elemental realms, demonic realms, who knows where. Alternately, they may have reappeared in the temples or locations they originally occupied.

The Temple of Fiends, both now and 1000 years ago, is accessible. As are the locations of all the FF1 fiends (Kary, Kraken, Tiamat and Lich). The FF4 Fiends were beaten in Mount Ordeals (accessible), Baron (accessible), and two Towers (not accessible), then finally in the Giant of Zot (not accessible, though Brunnengus is rumored to be looking for it).

Gurgu Volcano looms in front of them. For those bound by the earth, a canoe is the only way there, but since the group here can fly, they float above, staring into the molten smelter below them.

Well, if the last time people have really bothered going in (i.e. the Light Warriors) is any indication, this shouldn't be so difficult. The monsters in here are for level like 10-20 warriors, not level 250-300. Another set of four warriors descend into the volcano proper. The first level has a colossal magma-filled crater in the center. All of the paths have magma or steaming rocks - the Light Warriors must have taken no small degree of burns striding through this dungeon. The room is large, but with godlike senses the group can detect that there is a northwest exit. There is also a treasure chest to the southwest.

ff1.classicgaming.gamespy.com/scrshots/maps/gurgumap1.gif is a representation of the map as Jack detects it (matching fairly well with the map as it was for the Light Warriors). The chest is red and simplistic, but made of an almost leathery and highly heat-resistant material. The hinge is outlined with incredibly hard steel.

Closed, apparently undamaged. No one is around.
Inside is a veritable treasure trove of red coins, a Crystal Fire Rod (greatest rune weapon) of unusual power even for such an item, and a mask that represents a fire dragon.

The owner alignment is evil. It comes to Jack's mind that many chests in video games are actually safe (there's just random encounters before then) and if there were a monster in the chest it would come when opening the chest or be the chest itself. The group is now loaded with the booty of this chest.

They will explore the rest of the area, then move on, to the exit, go back to CH, to drop off the booty, then goto the next place on there list, if nothing attacks them.
