"Then let us depart" Black will say continuing to help load the loot onto the land train.

Brian will start snickering at black's comment, "so you think the desires of one of your comrades is something you can just say 'fuck you, i'm leaving' to?" Brian will help load things onto the land train, "besides, what if this 'forest' turns out to be a really good idea?"

"I agree, split up the money with communal share, and save the items for identification later, then we can split them up by need much more easily, Also, I apologize for how I act before and after battles, I just caught up very easily and I find it hard to stop"
Joseph and Hector also help load loot in

Fred nods. "You all must be busy now too. Search for survivors, make sure we are not being watched, make sure that there is nothing left of value on the bodies, perhaps bury what we can, identify items... there is much to do. An hour is barely enough time to do what we must to make sure we are done here. And let us wait on bidding until we have identified the items."

I will go to find a defensible position to guard the area and have a clear view of everything.
"Fred start with the replanting already so were not wasting time here to get ambushed or discovered"
OOG: everyone just seems to repeat each other when they talk

The equipment is loaded onto the land train. Fred begins working on the seed while Mario starts messing around with the items trying to figure out what they do. Body looting does not reveal anything and there is no need for burials as they were crushed to a fine powder by rays sand. Or vaporized by the lasers.
Eventually the seed is planted but it will take time to grow, roughly a week.
After the hour you guys find that the spheres are some kind of bola that are electrified. The two rolled up scrolls are in japanese. The red Materia is the bomb summon. The rubber suit protects against electricity. The book however is undecipherable.

Brian gets very interested when the prospect of another summon shows itself, "anyone mind if i take the bomb summon? i have these other summons, and one more couldn't hurt... though if someone wants it more than i, they can go ahead and have it."
I'll talk to Echo and Mirage (my other summons) "you hear that? you might be getting an exploding monster among your ranks. oh, by the way echo... after all that's happened, after how much you've helped me... still think i might be a pussy?" Brian says jokingly. But Brian realizes that its potentially important to have the summon's included in conversation, make them feel wanted and useful you know? i don't want them saying 'no, i wont be summoned' in the middle of a fight due to my neglect.

"Bomb summon?" Black asks, not remembering a bomb summon from final fantasy.
OOG: So what, the boots and two belts were unidentifiable by our means so far? or were they just regular?

"Hmm, Bomb, sounds tempting, I am without a summon, but I think Black might benefit more from it."

OOG: with your cure materia and your firebending, i'd say a bomb summon would be really good for you man, i say it aught to go to black... but i don't know about the cure or firebending in character yet, so i can't work like that

The boots and belt are unidentifiable at this point.

Ray will hop into the drivers seat and look over at Shit Pickle
"Ready to go little Buddie?"

OOG: I thought we were already on..?
"Huh...I dunno man. I mean, a summon SOUNDS cool but my magic score can't be very high. Though I HAVE been using materia so far.." Black replies bring up his clenched fist, the cure materia gleaming briefly in front of him.
"Well, that's my piece anyway. I'm more interested in what the boots or belt might be...if they're special at all. And I'm really interested in what those scrolls might say, not to own but just for curiosity's sake"
Unwittingly Black glances at the chain cleaver.
"But while we're on the subject I don't suppose anyone's interested in the chain sword?" he asks cautiously.

Fred concentrates on the replanting, hoping that this will provide shelter and begin to rebuild the damaged world. He then gets onto the land train.
"I could also make use of the Bomb summon, being a Druid. I am not interested in the chainsword."
OOG: Did Kurama teach me Japanese?
|
|
|
Post by GM on Jan 6, 2009 20:15:21 GMT -5
OOG: he did not teach you any languages
Mario says "I could not use that thing if my life depended on it, look at it man its taller than I am!"

"Joe mentioned something about already having one while we were down there" Black replies to Fred, casting another glance at the chainsword.
"Besides, I've always wanted to spec into large swords. General kick-assitude aside I think it'll mesh well with how I do things" Black concludes with a slight smile.

"Well now that he is down we have a little breathing room, or so it seems we do for now, I say we head back to the gas station guy, w/e his name is."
Ray looks at the loot
"The rubber suit would be nifty, as for the rest of this stuff I'm not interested unless it helps me help you all in any way."
OOC: Mario who should we go about this Twisted Metal thing?

Mario sits down on his bed for a moment before calling out to ray "I guess lets head back to him and tell him we beat the necromancer."
Shitpickle looks at ray and says "Shitpickle" seeming to agree with heading back.
OOG: ray thats probably an ooc scenario. So far for loot it looks like fred wants bomb, ray wants the rubber suit, and black wants the chainsword.

Ten minutes into the drive on the way back ray sees a large problem. 2 creatures that have the torso of a dark elf, but the lower body of a spider. Quinn knows immediately that they are Drider. An entourage of there giant spider "pets" accompany them. The spiders are 15 feet tall easily towering over the tallest of you.
The Drider smile as webs are spun in a huge arc on the road preventing you from moving forward.
Rays Libra reveals that one of the drider is a sorcerer and another drider is a cleric of lolth.
Ray and Fred are down to 2 luminarium, Brian and Joe are down to 4 luminarium, Quinn is still at full, and Black is down to 3 luminarium.
OOG: for some reason I cant link a picture of a drider so just google image drider and the page is pretty much full of them.

At the first sign of trouble Black rushes over and eagerly takes the chain cleaver in hand and leaps off the land train, fascinated to see just how easily his new weapon will rip through drider flesh.
Despite this seemingly reckless charge there is a calmer side to this excitement, his eyes sparing quick glances to either side so as to not trip into a web or trap or anything that would stop the flow.
Is this...what it feels like to fight MONSTERS?! he thinks excitedly as his fingers find the switch and his chaincleaver roars to life.
Adrenaline pounding through his veins like white water rapids Black leaps up towards his target and makes a great downward swing aimed at the neck of the nearest drider.

"probably shouldn't give them any time to cast spells, We should just hit them hard and never give them a chance too" I will say partly to myself
Quinn will ready the shotgun and saw that he has and take the sword with him.
When I get the chance I will move forward firing the saw from my hip until I get close enough to use the shotgun and then I will resort to the sword if I don't have time to reload

Fred remains calmer than his be-froed comrade. He produces a Rose Whip and begins to analyze their movements, looking for an opening, as he bellows, "ROSE WHIP THORN WHEEL!" He hopes to begin to cut through some of the web as well as cut up the giant spiders.

Im going to use as little luminarium as possible to cover all the web in sand, and by cover i dont mean its not visible anymore but just enough sand that we can walk on it w/out getting stuck to it, so its no longer sticky and ill do the same for any new web they use and ill block any web attacks that come in so no party members get wrapped up, and ill be standing in the group and casting heals where needed.

Brian will be the last out of the vehicle, just enjoying his time, he'll try to get on top of the land train, tuxedo presumably flapping in the wind. "Two words." He adjusts his glasses, "Drain field." And then he'll debuff as many badies as possible with it and hop down from the perch.
