Black will take control of his own foot once more and back away to give Brian some room.

Ray will cast healing spells on everyone.
"What ever it is it might be useful."
"Also you guys are too paranoid, seriously if anything steps on the sand we we are on Ill know exactly where it is, there is nothing."

Telemechanics reveal its some sort of soul storage device, with a proper mystic knowledge it would allow you to bring up and control a long dead soul. On the back Brian sees the roman numeral VIII. Everyone gets the feeling as though they have personally seen and handled one of these before.
Mario speaks up "Anyone else get the feeling of deja vu?"

"huh, its some sort of soul storage device, capable of bringing back long dead souls, but i'm not sure what that VIII is, perhaps red XIII's younger brother?"

Fred looks at the VIII. "I am reminded of the Octagon from Rifts. We all seem to know how to control it... Now, in all likelihood, the necromancer's disappearance was caused by him going into this device. I wonder what we can do with this knowledge?"

Mario wanders back and forth for a few moments before he says "Hey guys I think I found a switch on this alter." he presses it and the alter slides forward 3 feet to reveal stairs leading down.

Why do I get a sneaky suspicion that the close-up shot of the roman numeral was an ominous hint that there are at least seven more bosses in the series?
Black watches with care as Mario flips the switch and unveil the staircase leading down into the depths of the alter. Feeling the fruit of Ray's efforts he'll turn towards him and nod a quick "Thanks man".
He'll then begin walking towards the staircase, calling back to everyone "So, boss looted who's up for an explanation cut-scene?"

Brian gets a good feeling about the staircase, "perhaps its a path to glory, honor, and riches?" Brian, unless someone stops him, starts down the staircase to investigate

Joseph walks down triumphantly, with hector closely following close behind

Fred says, "And just who would provide this explanation cut-scene? An omnipresent narrator we have yet to encounter?" He stays clear from the loot chamber for now, due to its man-made nature and the corruption of its owner.

I will stay at the top of the stairs and scan the area just to make sure its safe.
Ray's sand should warn us if anyone approaches but we'll have to be careful if its this chamber is booby-trapped.
"There is no reason all of us should go down or stay up top we will split anything of value"

Fred adds, "Regarding the KKKKKKK... I believe there is the Kentucky Ku Klux Klan Kastle, but that is 5 Ks. Perhaps it is the Kentucky Ku Klux Klan Kastle Koffee Klatch?" He realizes quickly that he is talking only to a few people who can easily hear, and becomes slightly dejected.
In his head, he considers, Have we all become so inured to death in our various traumas and travails that none of us responded negatively to the death of a man? He was a necromancer and distorting the veil of life and death, but us killing him with nary a word in response similarly distorts the value of both life and death. Our dealing out his death was, of course, a predictable and natural response to his actions.
And yet, it appears that we have let tens of thousands of peoples' bodies no longer be violated... though admittedly by crushing many of them to a fine paste. Perhaps more heroic pride is in order? Not simply divvying up the spoils of war?
He looked around the battle sight, observing destruction on a large scale. He says, I wish I had the time to replant and rebuild this area. Perhaps... He attempts to prepare a seed that will consume the corpses, now free of magical taint, and produce a beautiful forest here.
OOG: Mario says he will be posting our l3wts in the near future.

"Whoa dudes! looks like the necromancer left a bit more than just that device!" Black calls back looking around in awe.
Loot, ACTUAL loot! I hadn't anticipated actually getting anything out of this but some EXP and my life. Awesome! Black thinks excitedly to himself, picking up one of the gems on the floor and examining it briefly.
The chain sword then catches his more immediate attention as Black pockets the gem and then walks over and runs a hand cautiously over the flat of the blade.
"It's...a pretty cool day to be alive" he murmurs in nearly in audible awe.

Joseph inspects the item curiously, picking up the chain cleaver
"A chain cleaver? I have no need for one, and no need to horde"
He looks to the materia
"This orb though, it interests me, being the color of the most sanguinous wards!"
a quick glance at the golden sword...
"A blade of Gold, must be weak of mold, and unforgivably old!"
looks back at Hector "Treasure quite fit for a mortal, take what you need"

"Why would a gold sword be especially old? It'd actually be quite rational to conclude that any effective blade of gold would be a new alloy. The sandwich almost appears to be a Broodwich, but it seems that it is made of turkey, not 666 different animals with maggots for blood." Fred indicates that the .45, the gold sword, the cleaver sword, the boots with the buckles and the rubber suit are items he cannot or would prefer not to use and can be given to others.

"But dude, we're going to divvy it up AS A GROUP. You know, group meeting style. Or so I'd think, instead of just taking whatever" Black responds to Joe.
He also takes a moment to wonder how everyone got so strong off screen, but decides not to mention it as he is guilty of the same thing.
He then begins grabbing items and carrying them back up to the others.

Fred says, "Joe, it is my job to take things seriously." The deadpan delivery makes it quite unclear as to whether or not he is in turn serious. He continues, "I imagine the necromancer was holing up with items that would function to help him in a pinch as well as have some trade and survival value. How about this as regards the money: An even split of the wealth with an additional two shares to a communal pot?" Fred cannot think of a good, expedient way of splitting up the more important loot, however.
