Meanwhile, in their efforts to bring back together their initial pack, Kaylie, Melfina and Pharesh have heard of a connection between their Druid, Shaman and Hunter companions and the XLF. The Xenosian Liberation Front is, at the moment, a minor menace to the Xenosian Empire, mostly engaging in small acts of graffiti, sabotage, psychological warfare, etc. that have had very little effect on the war machine's progress. But that has begun to change. Some hardcore fighters have begun actual guerilla warfare. A group that has had much success and distinguishment (so much so that they are in fact in imminent danger) has been... a druid, hunter and shaman.

It's possible, but at the moment the XLF has no idea that the robots et al are coming and the Monolith wants it to stay that way. And at the moment you don't control these guys, this is the thread where you find them.

im sorry I fucked up! I meant the vamp, wolf, and bear could hook up with the robots to make things easer... I gess... then all 6 of them could try to find them woot! cause dont the robots have to go out to the XE at some point? or I could fail at the story line.

They COULD, it's possible, but it depends on how far you get into Xenosian territory with the robots. The XLF has been using the cave, though.
But what you CAN do here is have your main team or some volunteers (maybe split your team into two) go to Gongamnos and head to the cave that Clue Guy told you about.

All right, how are you getting to Gongamnos? Try to ask for a teleport? Red's airline company? Charter a ship? Etc.?

Right now, the team has built with Urza, Wallace, Batman, etc's help a limited but pretty reliable long-distance teleporter. The other options cost money but nothing that your share of the gold from the Darkspear alone wouldn't solve. The Darkspear could also loan you a wyvern ride for free.

Lets take the wyvern! cause it is free and I love the darkspear trolls. they are my homeboys

Indeed. Immediately, your group jumps onto a Wyvern transport. The flight is long, but interesting: The seas stretch out in front of them, and they even see into the distance as they head north the great frozen continent of Northrend. Their spiritual senses are blasted, however, by the evil generated by a floating fortress. They pass it safely. As they enter Hael, they see a man below stranded in a tree.
Coincidentally, now that Sam, Poen and Norm are part of an XLF team, you could play your XLF characters.

All right, we have names. They'll start at level 1, if you'd like?
And also: About the guy below?

All right, do you want to play this out in the same thread as the search for them?
And I thought they were actual canonical WoD species.
And the guy below in the tree still awaits.

Play it out? I would assume that we would use the same thread till they joined the party.
WoD yes and no, for the fact that I run out of different kinds. so if we can use the same kind of morphing!
Help him out of the tree, cause that is where he is stuck right?

Well, they have an interesting story to tell too. You see, those three are (despite being level 1) still some of the better groups in the XLF, with high mobility and power. Like most of the XLF, they began their harassment during the siege of Aertrya. But now Aertrya is almost completely dominated, and the forces of the Xenosians are squeezing in around them...
You can use the same kind of morphing, of course. Fox is basically a Kitsune, if you want to go with that. Lion is a sub-species of the Bastet. Boar reminds me of the Aunyain, but that would require our own work. I imagine they'd have their human form, their Sus form (the large boar), the Ussuricus form (the Crinos equivalent), and of course the in-betweens of a battle boar shape and the standing but not full battle form shape. Of course, they'd get different Gifts or powers.
Yes. So will you motion the wyvern to go down?

I will talk about the morphing with you in RL
Yea why not lets get more posts in! woot!

AĆght.
Will create that new thread. It'll be called Escape from Xenosia.
The wyvern goes down and waits. The man calls out, "Who's there?"

"I sure do!", he says. "But the problem is I'm stuck, not that I don't have something soft to fall into."

about how far up is he in the tree? and how big of a guy is he? "don't worry about it! we will catch you!"

He's average sized, maybe 6'2. He's wearing camo and light leather armor and straps. He has a bow, a rifle, a large knife and a heavy backpack and beltpack. That's part of how he's stuck. He's about forty feet up, but you guys can easily climb that.

have kaylie go climb up and get him down.
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 19, 2008 15:45:31 GMT -5
Kaylie is light and nimble enough to do so. He says, "Wow, a veritable bounding rabbit!" The branches easily are moved aside and he is helped down.
He says, "Azusa, hunter extraordinaire. I was up here for some big game when I got stuck." Azusa clearly has been out for awhile - he probably has no home. A perfect candidate for Ness' town.

"greetings, I am kaylie and this is pharess and melfina, we came out here looking for some old friends of ours that we have lost touch with." OOG what is ness town? if I may ask
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 19, 2008 17:59:29 GMT -5
OOG: Ness, one of your teammates, bought a house nearing the end of his adventures against Giygas. Now it is slowly becoming a smallish town and refugee site off of Onett. It's near the coast and has a deceptively large forest and beach area. So far, there's six small homes as well as the original house. So far, an autistic mage and his caregiver are there. That autistic mage works on spells and gives them to the team.
"Well, that sounds wonderful! I wish I was a better hunter of people than of animals and places to find them. Why, what a beautiful wyvern! Do you terribly mind if I join you?"

|
Post by doomkitty on Mar 19, 2008 18:35:00 GMT -5
"not really, we have a friend that is building a town that might need your help when we are done here if you don't mind. The wyvern's are not ours they belong to the darkspear trolls, we are just barrowing them for a little while."

"That'd be wonderful! I've always wanted to open a trapper's preserve." Azusa steps onto the back of the wyvern.
