"You can, however, study through normal means with no harm... well, aside from the obvious." It makes a strange sound like it was rolling its eyes, then returns to sorting and reading.

I got the dimesional stuff...but not the bounty hunting stuff or the math stuff correct? I suppose Ill go study the math first.

No, you got a good cross-section of the dimensional, detective and manhunting stuff, just not the math. But the cross-section was all fundamentals, admittedly at a complex level, and not quite the permutations you were looking for.

With the new stuff, am I able to use Tyrant as a source of information regularly now?
Evan will stay in the library, he'll look up books on reincarnation, the workings of the universe, ie the great wheel. He'll also look up what stays with a person when they reincarnate, for example she was a magi thus would that trait stay with her in her new life?

As regularly as any other NPC.
The workings are incredibly complex, especially when a wish intentionally obfuscates the passage. Some souls go to afterlives, whether tormenting, neutral or otherwise; some are reincarnated; some become ghosts or shades; some find ways of evading their fate. It is likely that a Magi who dies would be reincarnated as such, especially in her case.

Evan will now switch to books on Magi, see if they are trackable in any sense, being such a rare and powerful creature, they may emit some sort of magical beacon.

Magi are quite distinctive and rare... in some dimensions. In some dimensions they are quite frequent. It is likely Jess chose such a dimension. Further, dimensions are big spaces, and selecitng across dimensions is difficult. If seeking out your unique vampire strand was difficult, why would this be easier?

because Im just trying to narrow down the amount of dimensions to search from, I mean 100xinfinite is less then 15x infinite, I'd like it to get down to 50k or so if at all possible.

Yes, that is true, but you'll need to find factors that work in conjunction. Alternately, you can try a method distinct from Tyrant's proposal.

...Mind either sending me the link to his proposal or reinterating it?

The process of elimination of possible universe spaces.

I thought what was what I was doing? Taking all her traits to see what she could have taken with her, then thik what she'd want to keep, then from that point, start cutting down on the possible universes.

That WAS what you were doing. I said there might be things you've overlooking and then suggested perhaps a DISTINCT strategy.

So what Im still not close enough to begin random dimension jumping in the set locations yet. But the idea of using a statistical math spell to improve my odds in finding her was a good idea correct...Im not sure where to go from here.
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 22, 2006 0:56:30 GMT -5
Well, maybe. It might backfire and ascertaining that would be nigh-impossible, the spell at the moment would be so taxing as to be impossible (you'd do it later on in the process, probably), and
You can always begin blind. While Daedrous said no Immortals knew where she was, he may be able to find some information or data from them anyways. And there was also the Sinistral connection.

Post by Ainsophaur on Mar 22, 2006 1:22:12 GMT -5
I know, i haven't forgotten them, but what use are they, they don't exist transdimensionally, not to my knowledge anyways. But she does have Sinistal blood in her now doesn't she?
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 22, 2006 1:28:55 GMT -5
Yes, both do. Immortals in fact explicitly use their 81 selves upon reaching Ubiquity (the Ninth Stage of Advancement) to explore the universe, as well as their Immortal Child. And Sinistrals came from another dimension. They are both heavily transdimensional. Remember: Dimensional travel is ho-hum nowadays.

I ment existance wise, they don't exist in multiple places at once....Evan will ask around about the sinistals, and ask if about the gods again. get all the info he can
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 22, 2006 1:56:27 GMT -5
Well, some do, actually. But that doesn't really matter, does it, given that you're just finding information?
So you're asking ABOUT Sinistrals, or ASKING Sinistrals?
Post by Ainsophaur on Mar 22, 2006 2:38:21 GMT -5
well firstly Ill ask ABOUT them, then ill find some, and ASK THEM, for information about the topics Im looking into.

What else do you need to know but what Maxim told you?

Post by Ainsophaur on Mar 22, 2006 2:46:57 GMT -5
Hmmm, well considering i have NO strategy that i can directly use because A) Im to weak to scrye that big of an area. B) its pointless to start randomly dimension jumping when i have this much area to cover. but fuck it, i suppose ill just start dimensionally jumping and searching, and move onto the next.
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 22, 2006 5:18:17 GMT -5
....You didn't even answer that question. You haven't even REMOTELY exhausted your strategies.

Fine then ill try something random.....Umm..... Evan will go into one of the computer labs(with the assistance of one of the npc hackers if i can get some assistance) and have them help import all the information into a matrix and have it calculate the best course of action possible to find her.

Evan heads to the hacker domicile. Currently Crash Fox is busily playing some laughable puzzle game, while Crystal Mix (Milky's ex and a duly deputized member of Crashing Heavens; she has a very slight Asian feel to her but is largely white with blonde hair) is currently sleeping on her mousepad, a slight crustiness about her face, her PH33R ME sweatshirt's hood over her face.

"It'll take a lot less time if you shut up.", Crash Fox says without a hint of malice.
"What do you need?", Crystal says, smacking to get that early morning taste out of your mouth.
