Crash Fox isn't power hungry, but considering how events are playing, she wants to get past her current power. She is a nine-tail Kitsune already, but there are rumors of more tails that one can acquire...

There are a few Kitsune who, either in a desire to become human because of a human mate or for other anomalous reasons, try to swallow, ungrow or sever their tails. Obviously this is easiest in the first hundred years and practically impossible past the fifth tail (gained at 500). This is actually part of the foundation of the Blood Mandala: The residual genetic and mystic impact of demons, angels, spirits, fae, dragons, gods, and so on interbreeding with humans means that all humans have an atavistic spiritual ancestor. Most of those who cut off their tails, or demons that reform themselves, are reincarnated as humans or become fully human... but then again, vampires who achieve Golconda often don't reincarnate, so there are some kitsune who retain some powers.

Where do you begin with this? And you are looking for their insight so they can help Crash Fox/others, or as NPCs, or...?
