It's not the Void itself, though there is a shape to the Void, but the Cleft of Dimension which is AROUND the Void and is a bizarre place. For example, you walk through a town, Mirage, in the Cleft that is completely frozen when you arrive at it in the Cleft. And a forest, and an odd castle, and...
