cool, i was gonna get my self set up for a t beast anyway, so go ahead and take daedrous and brunnenges with me along with clawthorn and archeus i suppose, tim wanted them too cause he wants CT to mana burn himself to gain a big ass magic attack, then have archeus infinity it, despite the fact that infinity kills people.

Infinity doesn't necessarily kill, but it does introduce some dangerous things into equations. No NPCs?
Does Ikiru accept Jahn's proposal?

No Milky or Daedrous on this part of the mission? Jahn smiles. "I knew you'd come to my side." He takes out a simply incredible set of data, saying, "This is all information in notes, but you are getting first stab at it. Turn to page 200."
OOG: Ikiru basically will now know everything Jahn does about the civilization... well, almost everything, given that Jahn is a vile beast and will keep some information to himself for later bargaining.
No NPCs?

Ah, yes, Tyrant CAN come along. When Spira asks, Tyrant says, "I tend to not like killing for no good reason. It isn't my area of expertise. What scientific curiousity might this provide?"

i was expectinng to be shut down entirely on this, so just ignore the fact that i suggested it

OOG: Actually, Tyrant is wholly amenable to fighting if it serves some higher purpose. Spira just has to convince him that the Budong mission would be an interesting experiment somehow.

"You are into math and all that right? These things generate storms of quantum energies inside them, I cant imagine that being terribly boring to play with."

"Huh. That is true enough: Seeing quantum mechanics play out in person could be an interesting observation. Very well."

The group steps up to the Ranger's Wings. Krane says, "The bodies of the dead always nourish the living. The ant consumes the elephant. The Budong will know these truths." Sarashito says, "That's... a horrible scene. Why are we killing some random thing again?" They begin to hover off, Badcat at the helm operating the ship through space to a large empty debris field.

"It is not death, it is preservation and glorofication of the highest form, maybe this worm is egyptian and likes!" Stick my tongue out at her.

"That's like saying an animal you shot and killed then gutted and stuffed wasn't killed.", Sarashito says. Krane smiles and comments serenely, "It is an honor to such a beast to destroy it and preserve it, nor can you ever be certain of the inner motivations of another creature." She scratches her eyebrow and looks down, her eyes shaking. then looks up. Speaking in a slightly Continental accent, she now says, "Bring up a three-dimensional map of the area!" The map comes up. "I recommend we split into groups of two, each with an adept healer, and use these to press the attack all over. The Budong's size makes direct confrontation foolish, but by using the debris as cover and forcing it to manuever through damaging rock, we can be victorious. In line with this, I recommend a field of mines and an enhancement of the existing debris. I propose teams as follows: Mr. Brunnengus and Mr. Tyrant, Mr. Incendra and Ms. Krane, myself and Mr. Veri, Mr. Bombardi and Milkdrop, and Mr. Ikiru and Mr. Kumo."

Oh. I have no problem NPCing at all, though that means Tim only gets some IC benefits and not OOC benefits and gets the risk, of course. And how did Ikiru get a handicap? He's with one of the stronger people here.
"As for Squad T, I recommend that Takeshi and Jin fight together then Archeus and Ms. Naga, Mr. Swaggard and Clawthorn be in a group. Does anyone see difficulty with these groups?"

tim wants banos to be here, and he will kill to get it! but yeah that works, we will just have to attck him at the right times to guide him through debris right?

Banos says, "Mr. Ouranos, you will be..." Sarashito bites the bullet and says in synthesis with , her French accent growing, "with Mr. Taing-Slaytker and Mr. Ryozo." Banos then goes onto say, "I am LeMontagne!" Sarashito backs up and says, "I have not said my name yet. How did you know that, Mr. Ouranos?"
Yeah, and to avoid being hit, and...

so yeah, turn to page 200 in jahns notebook, and call in spira, tell him i have some rockshaping for him to do.

|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 16, 2006 15:12:06 GMT -5
No one's confused by Sarashito claiming to be LeMontagne? And do you have any additions to the tactics proposed?
Page 200 contains the information about the Zodiac Puppets. And what rockshaping does Ikiru need him to do?
|
|
|
Post by halfhero on Mar 17, 2006 17:00:52 GMT -5
i was just assuming excavation would be aided by a skilled rockshaper.
Spira will chime in "Hey! I dont want no frenchies round here! Keep being oriental sounding, its safer."

Ah, I see what you mean. Jin isn't too bad with his armor, and when you get Renan you'll have a master. Krane isn't shabby, and neither is Mauler.
"I know not what you mean. My name is Marie-Elise LeMontagne." Krane says, "A name is a confusion given letters."

err ugh, whatever, have Milky send out waves of pure non existence to try and be somehow empathic to Banos.
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 18, 2006 20:29:08 GMT -5
It was Sarashito who said that. That's why there is a period, not a comma, after the sentence. Which begs the question, why is she calling herself that? And why is Milky trying to be empathic towards Banos?

|
Post by halfhero on Mar 18, 2006 22:53:40 GMT -5
to get him to shut up, why else?
whatever, get into position then spira will say "Yeeah, no shit its a confusion, what the hell are you two talking about?"
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 18, 2006 23:25:36 GMT -5
Ah. It's sort of instinctual for him.
"My name is not Sarashito. I am a former Starfleet first officer. My name is LeMontagne." Krane says, "Names change nothing. They do not alter any essences. They only confuse us and prevent us from seeing truth. They are the walls of the ego."

Ikiru: "Paul Mua'dib might disaree about the power of names, but lets get ready for the task at hand."

|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Mar 23, 2006 22:44:13 GMT -5
OOG: Another classic line.
"Paul Muad'Dib uses the powers of the reality underneath the name: idle sorcery, but not complete confusion."
Sarashito/LeMontagne nods. "Shall we use any ships or suits for space?"

ikiru: "i think, if fitting, one person on each team should be vehicle bound, with the others handling more precise details, i would suggest using our gundams for this endeavor."
