Brunnengus expressed interest in finding the Giant that was summoned by Golbez to destroy the world.

Well, the Giant and the Tower were pretty well blown up by the impromptu alliance that formed.

How will Brunnengus delve up the pieces wihtout damaging them? Others have tried, obviously.

what if we reworked our various doomssday machines we have into more of a processing facility that we could basically feed the parts into for immediate commencement of repairs, and it wouuld feed them up to the surface..

Possibly. Jin's machine in particular would be excellent for that function. The problem is that if any parts are present they have so far evaded discovery, and further one has to wonder just how much such destructive devices could be retooled to avoid doing damage to something. Further, since the CPU was destroyed at the very least, and undoubtedly much of the whole body, the problem is somewhat more intractable than just an archaeological dig.

i guess we will have to employ time magics, get to work on creating a field around the tower area where time is as it is, was, and will be.

The risk there is that the Tower and the Giant could be brought back, and with you as their new power source - much harder to destroy.

what if i gathered the crystals again in their weak form, then ressummoned the giant, captured it and developed it further?

|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Feb 9, 2006 22:47:27 GMT -5
Well, for one thing, access to the crystals is limited, though perhaps Brunnengus could find parallel crystals in the Ebon Dream and use it as a simulacrum. But that also begs the question: How will you generate the destroyed giant from crystals? Zot and the Giant are lost, probably Lunarian, technology. If you could find the technology again, that would be an excellent strategy, and Zot could be put to the cause of good.

Thanks to Zeromus training, Brunnengus can teleport directly to the Lunarian city in the Lunarian Subterrane, though he can also explore the moon if he wants.

The underground crystalline caverns of the moon welcome Brunnengus, but now formed into building after building. Namingways in one building coexist with the powerful and noble-looking Lunarians in the next. Their statures are as gods, Golbez and Cecil only being half-Lunarian. A tall man in black armor and a frail-looking old man approach, chanting, then stop. The black-armored one says, "Oh, it's just you. We detected the energy of Zemus and..." The old man says, "How may we help you?"

Indeed you might do so, or might have other questions, or what not.
The lights lead Brunnengus down great buildings built into the sublunar surface, forming a harmony with the crystalline structures and caves. There are many residential areas where many Lunarians still sleep the eons away, but now the civilization has begun to awake, with the ancient libraries, universities, smithies, and other bastions of learning, technology and magic being filled. Brunnengus finally finds the greatest library of all of them. A majestic structure with mirrored pillars and a gate thirty feet tall awaits him.

Inside, Brunnengus is surprised to discover that the number of Lunarians in there is actually rather minimal. The primary group using the library is apparently a group of archaeologists, some human, some elven, some Rulian, and so on, all wearing a standardized uniform. There is no librarian, and even with the Lunarian language taught to Brunnengus, he is having difficult finding his way around. There is a main reading room with a number of seemingly random books, arranged in perfect crystalline shelves, akin to the main room of most libraries. But then there are a number of rooms that contain only four teleporters. Brunnengus eventually finds a sign that means History above one of the rooms.

In the teleporter room, there doesn't seem to be anything, but in fact Brunnengus looks for the right thing, as a wall enclave hums at his request. A shimmering automaton, apparently of pure energy, zips in front of Brunnengus and says, eerily cheerily, "Hi! How can I help you!"
