I don't quite remember who Stork gathered to come on his vampire slaying mission. Obviously Mewtwo, Giovanni, Goris and Simon. I think he asked Gun Bunny to come, and if not, then he will, and if she said no, he'll ask again...we should RP that out and all. But that's the basic jump-off point for this thread. Possibly some company special forces? Whatever forces he can take without getting in trouble.

Gun bunny would gladly go with you. Also, Stork has twenty five of the sixty special forces stationed in the company city under his direct control.
The only remaining issues is the size of the force itself and what you feel you can keep organized in the coming situation. Likely to be some close quarters urban combat vs. superhumans... actually, it's gauranteed to be some close quarters urban combat vs. superhumans.

Does Stork know about Gilgamesh and the other "Special special" forces? If so he'll try to get in contact with the Special Special Forces commanding officer. He'd rather go for quality of troops over quantity.

It's largely because of Stork and his pals that the "Special Specials" came to be. They're under command of Company executive decision mostly, with a secondary command instated under Xavier Thomas, whom despite working primarily as a chemist in the Company's R&D division, knows plenty about being "special special".
Either he or Alexander would be the one's to talk to.

Stork will head on up to Alexanders office and ask the secretary if Alexander is available.

Having been briefed on Stork, any secretary for Alexander is told to let his brother through when he wants to be. Because there's no telling when he'll be in a bad mood and just cause more trouble than it's worth. You're let in to find Alexander going through papers and typing away at a computer.
"Ah, Stork. I was just going through the financial reports for the quarter. You didn't break us."

"Hrmph, well I might change that. I need some men from the Special special forces to help me exterminate some vampire bitch that's been causing trouble. What've you got that I can use before sun down? My team and Gun bunny are signed up so far."
Once Alexander relates what personell from the special special forces are available to him Stork'll have him send them to his office for a briefing.

Part of being on the special special forces entails being on call 24 hours. They're all available to you and you are given their profiles, grudgingly.
Alexander shows concern about your methods, but can't disagree that removing a vampire who can come and go from the company building as they please, and has before, who is not only a creature that preys on humanity but one who is bothering a lead General in the Company forces would be a good thing.
Do you want a list of Special Specials?

Yes sir I would like that list.

The Special Special forces branch at the local company headquarters is limited, but interesting. In addition to the crazies Stork already has going with him:
Zachariah Mearham - Plasma spouting Cyborg that looks like a company spec. forces armor
Gilgamesh
And Interestingly enough, though possibly not for this mission, Stork finds through some quick researching that the Assassination operatives count as Special Specials. Meaning Three others, including the aptly named Company Assassin, can be called under his control.

Stork will send a request to have Gilgamesh report to his office ASAP for a volunteer mission.

Gilgamesh is busily polishing his weapons, lovingly going over Judgment, when he hears the call. Gilgamesh smiles. "This should be good. Or possibly egregiously bad." He heads up to the office and says, surprisingly official-sounding (his years of serving others as a lackey have let him put aside his independence temporarily), "Gilgamesh reporting for duty and awaiting briefing, General Starkeep sir!"

Stork looks up from his desk (not particularly doing anything on it) as Gilgamesh announces his presence and stands, "You can save the military etiquitte, that shit's for the grunts, call me Stork. Anyways Gilgamesh, this isn't an official mission, it's not even an unoffical mission, it's a personal undertaking that I've got to deal with. Some vampire bitch is demanding that I reimburse her for her nightclub that was burned down. Regardless of whether of it was my fault or not, I'm not paying her a fucking cent. So, for my personal security and secondly as a good for the city, I'm going to hunt her and her posse down and make sure they don't trouble anyone again. That's where you come in play, I need men with experience and capabilites against the supernatural, and I don't want to waste my regular troops lives or time against these bastards. So are you up for it?"

Gilgamesh's lip curls in a rather evil simulacrum of a smile. "Stork, it's always been my job to kill things. Especially dead things, demonic things, or otherwise challenging and not necessarily good things. Not only am I up for it, but I wish all missions would be to do things like this. It's judgment day."

When is sundown vis-a-vis now, Mr. K-Roz?

"Well Gilgamesh, I'll be leading the operation of course, and my special team will be accompanying us. Let's see, there's Mewtwo, an incrediably powerful psychic...mutant I suppose is what he is. Giovanni, who I don't know much about other than he radiates an unholy feeling that's impossible to ignore. Then there's Gorris the Deathclaw and Simon Von Gries, our resident vampire. He'll be our primary advisor on the habits of the suck-heads. I've also invited Gunn Bunny to come along and she's agreed. So now you know who you're working with, but I don't know you that well. Tell me about your style and tactics to combat the supernatural."

"Stork, I am a master of ancient weapons of all types, ranging from the spear to the bow to the sword. Normally that may be a disadvantage in your era, but my particular weapons are legendary ones that dwarf the equipment assigned me, ones that will devastate the unholy scourge. I also am a master of paranormal combat, and provide a number of spells to destroy the supernatural, heal allies and otherwise more effectively combat my foes. I have incorporated some technological skill and weaponry into my repertoire, primarily heavy weapons such as gatling guns, and of course have the appropriate mercury-tipped and silver bullets for such adversaries. I have some small arms as well. I transform to a shape fitting to destroy them and have some martial arts techniques appropriate for the situation. And, Stork, to be candid, I find it surprising that you are killing these beasts. Your powers, from what I hear, are about rage and weaponry." He smiles almost sadistically. "I appreciate such audacity, and such skills."

Excellente. What is there to be done before then? Suit up, clean guns and weapons, etc.?
|
|
|
Post by crazygeneral on Jan 27, 2006 20:40:07 GMT -5
That's exactly what there is to do. Stork suit up in his Dr. Roboto power armor, arm himself with his combat shotgun with the silver buckshot, his flamethower, MP5's with silver tipped/mercury tipped (whichever is easier to acquire) and give them all a quick cleaning. He also requests Simon report to his office for a special briefing.

Suit up in power armor, polish off the Holy Lance/Excalibur/Judgment, prepare my minigun and other guns with mercury and silver bullets, and prepare the Apollo's Bow.

Silver is by far the easier to aquire of the two.
The holy and epic rune weapon qualities of Holy lance, Excalibur, and Judgement, all keep them from really requiring any cleaning, but it's the thought that counts.
Simon arrives in a few minutes, showing no signs of hurry but having obviously left to meet you immediatley when you called for him. Likely lacking anything better to do.
"Yessir?" He says, poking his head into the door.

"Simon, glad you're here. I need your intimate knowledge on the habits of our targets." Stork pulls up a map of the Company City (either on his PC or a big holo-table thing...that'd be cool) and focuses on the location of burning ruins that was formally a night club, pointing a finger at it. "This is the only location we have to base the operation on..." Stork zooms out to the surrounding city blocks, "If her HQ was near, what locations in the vincinity would you think are particulary suitable or desireable to your kind? If none come to mind, I want you to hit the streets and scout out possible vampire nests...if you have the eye for that kind of thing."

You have a holo map at your disposal.
"Well I guess I can look around... But my first guesses would be uhh..." Simon points out a number of spots on the map, almost seeming at random until he explains his reasoning. "This here's not the nicest area of town, so nobody's gonna ask questions about when and why you're coming and going." *He says about a small residential block not far from there* "This complex is large and shitty enough to cram a bunch of people into small rooms, meaning some of them aren't going to have any windows." *He says about a motel nearby* "Some of the less presentable sons of bitches who don't care about much besides eating people and being a badass might hold up over here. They prolly don't take many showers." *He says about a set of smaller storage units near the warehouse district.* "Then a'course there's the ones who like a derelict ship." *He says just waving his hand in the general direction of Crazy Town.*
"Then there's always the sewers. But you don't find many folks who are just so hard up for a place to stay that they'll camp out there an' still try to make regular public appearances. Prolly not the sort to go to nightclubs."

Stork rubs his gas-mask chin area thoughtfully for a moment, "Good work Simon, here's what I want you to do. You and Giovanni are going to scout these places out since you guys don't stand out so much, and I want you to mark specific buildings, and in cases like the motel, specific rooms. If you happen to come across the vampire I'm after, or get in a great big tussle, call for reinforcments and Mewtwo will get us there fast. If you come across the specific vampire I'm hunting, who looks like a creepy as shit little girl, call for us as well so we can smoke that bitches ass. Understand? Good, you have 30 minutes to get your gear and meet Giovanni down in the vehicle garage. I'm going to sign you guys off for a car to take into town." After that Stork will inform Giovanni via radio that he's to meet Simon in the vehicle garage in 30 minutes and help him spot vampire nests.

Gilgamesh himself reviews a map of the City and ponders where he imagines vampires and whatever other forces they're allied with (demons, foul spirits, etc.) are. If he thinks of a location, he'll inform Stork.

Simon nods quickly and is on his way. Having little in the way of gear besides what he carries, he arrives within ten minutes, making both of them early and prepared.
Simon did his job of pointing well, Gilgamesh can't find much that stands out besides what he already noted.
