Unless the computers are stolen valuables. Do I see any brand names, serial numbers, etc.? Or have those been clumsily etched off? Do I get good cellphone reception (I might want to call the company that produces or distributes the computers and see if they lost those serial numbers?) Is anything hidden among the computers, perhaps inside of them (use x-ray reception - NOT transmission - and the sphere's ethereal nature to check)?
A lore question: Are caravans required to have a legal charter of some kind and carry it with them?

Caravans have an inventory sheet. All the computer equipment is whole and unaltered. Your cell phone's reception is fine, but naturally talking would give some kind of clue that you're here.

First find some kind of distinctive mark I can use to report: Say, a caravan number, or distinctive style or descriptions of the men.Leave the area for now, getting far enough away so they won't hear me (looking for scouts), then call up the computer company as well as local authorities and try to get the low-down on these guys. Tail them as well as I can while doing this.

The computers are meant to be en route to the company city to a law firm. Unless they know something about the desert that you don't, you'd say they might be heading too far north.
As well, the Caravan is listed as having "Big Maude" Mason as the caravan master, and the guy you talked to sure doesn't look like his name is "Big Maude"

Call the relevant law enforcement agencies, describe the man, and ask them if a) that man matches a description of an outlaw or b) matches Big Maude's description.

They note that "Big Maude" is a woman, and they don't know who this man is. When they ask about your situation you explain a bit more about what you see. Watching with distant vision, you describe their outfit, equipment, the like.
The census comes back: Chances are likely you've found a recently successful group of Caravan Raiders.

Excellent. Tell the authorities my present location as well as I can. Find a nice hidden position fairly close to the caravan and use my built-in loudspeaker to say, "I know your secret, boys. The authorities are coming. I recommend staying still and being able to defend yourself if and when a trial occurs. Resist and you can have some fun with me." ' OOC: If we can get some consistent posting going on with Bombardi/Asridinius and Firebrand, that'd be hunky dorey. Super-excellent would be a Twenty team every once in awhile.

THe desert allows for little in the way of hiding spots. So, more invisibility becomes your only real option.
If that be your choice- The raiders whip around with their guns, pointing them into the desert with murderous intent.
"DOUBLE TIME" says the leader. The truck speeds up, kicking up a dust cloud behind it while the men run along side, a few gripping onto the backside and hoisting themselves up on a bumper.

So: My Cloak is fairly good and it seems they can't find me. If I swoop down from above and Expelling Palm one of the men in the truck, are they set crowded enough by each other that the powerful push will knock them into other men? If so, do that then start on hand to hand combat, using obviously less than all my strength, wielding my kinetic expulsion nunchaku and going for disarming and knockout blows.

I have no recollection of what expelling palm does.
Also the nunchaku would likely kill them.

It's like a TK expulsion.
Expelling Palm: expels enemy violently, first turn is expulsion, second turn flood, third turn strong river, fourth turn impeding, fifth turn barely there, sixth turn gone, 20 foot range, 200 MP (can expend more to drive away large opponents, works mostly regardless of size)
Then use just punches.

So people get thrown everywhere and you run around punching them into violent submission. Their gunfire does nothing to your chest, though one comes uncomfortably close to your ear as you close in, causing some light ringing given your superhumanly powerful eardrums.
When the dust settles, they lie bloodied and beaten in heaps.

Fred smiles. "I'd say crime doesn't pay, but clearly it did before. So crime leads to you getting your ass kicked by a sixteen year old." Are the authorities coming?

You have given them coordinates and they are en route.
And "Crime leads to you getting your ass kicked by a sixteen year old" is funny.

Keep watch over 'em, take a cig, and smile that I got a chance to do good when I adventured. How long has it been?

Mebbe two hours. I'll just say that cause I don't know.
If you want to wait for the folks to show up it should be at least another hour.

Continue waiting, then.
