All right, the concept seems okay, and actually not too bad considering that you did this without the rulebook (at least it seems to me since I can't find these direct stats in the book). I'll edit the sheet to match more closely what I see in the book. The confusions I see:
1) Outriders get both a Host Armor (weaker than the Dreadguard's) AND a vehicle. The giant crab vehicle you're thinking of is the Leviathan, which is totally a sweet vehicle. We'll work on the Host Armor.
2) There's no way in hell you have 70 Spd. I changed that to 53.
3) The only Skills I see that actually match anything in the book are Climb. I think you confused the attributes and equipment of your Leviathan with Skills. You need to pick: *Either Cowboy or Bio-Technology Skill Program *One other Skill Program of your choice *Five Elective Skills *Four Secondary Skills
4) You need an Alignment.
For your Leviathan, you have to decide how to spend 100 BIO-E to improve it aside from the stats I listed up there.
For your Host Armor, you have to whether your Armor is Herbivorous, Omnivorous, Parasitic or Carnivorous for its diet.

uhhh, i thought that maybe i could BE the vehicle you know? have my mind poured into the cybernetics of the Leviathan (and i have no clue the point system here...) but i kinda wanted to be a guy on the sidelines that just uses artilery... and be a really sweet transport vehicle for party members
and i want the Bio-Technology Skill Program, some sort of Burrow Skill program, and just some support skills that would aid in long-range battle and transport of teamates
and since i dont know pretty much any of this... could you help me out maybe? i'm very interrested in this game

No, actually being IN the Leviathan would be a much more extensive upgrade than available at first level, though I may consider it over time. Anyways, the Leviathan moves at 30 mph on land, 300 mph in the water, 30 mph digging. However, your Host Armor can be crab themed, and that one you ARE permanently attached to.
Your character IS exactly that: Artillery, transport, etc.
I suppose you could have a Seismology skill, which would give you Tunneling/Excavation, Mining, Geology.
I can indeed help you out, that's what I'm trying to do here. I REALLY recommend you either order the book, find a way to rock out with me in person, or get MSN/AIM/YIM.
So what would you like to add to the Leviathan? And is your Armor is Herbivorous, Omnivorous, Parasitic or Carnivorous for its diet?

lets have it be omnivorus

All right, 30 BIO-E in addition to your 107 initial. What do you want to do with your own power armor? Make it tough, good in direct combat, fast, ranged combat? And what would you like to add to your Leviathan?
Oh yeah, you also missed an attribute, M.E. That'll be added to your BIO-E total.

uhhh, i'd like my power armor to be more ranged than anything
and i'd like to add things to my leviathan that'll give more comfort to those riding inside of it... oh, and some sort of anti-personell weapon (and i really REALLY want to keep my 200,000,000 watt screech)

All right, there are many ranged weapons. Selections include:
*Acid Nodules *Bio-Energy Vents *Bore Cannons (shoots beetles to bore into foes) *Chemical Sprayer *Electrical Discharge *Flame Weapons *Flying Blades *Gore Cannon *Heat Cannon *Needle Death Blossom *Omega Blaster *Organic Rocket *Quill Launchers *Spike Launchers *Spikes and Blades (can be made into throwing weapons) *Spore Discharger *Screamer Grenades *Simple Light Cells *Super Light Cells *Tangle Foot *Tentacle Harpoons *Trench Foot Mines *Tusk Spears *Viral Immobilizer
All of these can be upgraded for more payload, firing rate, damage or range.
The high screech can be kept. What'd be the effect? Damage? Drown out sensors? Etc.? More comfort could be gained for 15 Bio-E I'd say. The above weapons can also be added.

i'll spend the 15 Bio-E for the comfort and the screech? c'mon A 200,000,000 WATT SCREECH!??! the only thing that wouldn't be dead/dying/deaf would be in oiuterspace on the other side of the planet... besides... it'd a REALLY awsome surround sound, which is where i got the idea, hey, i'll PIMP OUT MY LEVIATHAN! and theres the whole screech thingy...
and for those weaps, i'll list them in descending order of want (eh) Bore Cannons Omega Blaster Trench Foot Mines Viral Immobilizer Chemical Sprayer Bore Cannons (again 'cause they're awsome) Needle Death Blossom I wasn't sure how many you would allow me to have so i just listed a large quantity just to be sure

It depends on how upgraded you want each. Bore come in Light, Medium and Heavy, plus the upgrades noted. Omega is only one but costs a total of 105. You can get a Light Bore Cannon and an Omega Blaster with your points.
No, the 15 BIO-E is for the comfort. Bear in mind: You're fighting robots, not people with ears that can be damaged. So would the scream do damage, what? And there's no way it'd be that strong.
You still need to roll up another attribute, M.E., like you did the others.

well, i can do without the screech (but 200,000,000 watts WOULD acctually do that) maybe it would create a shockwave effect... i was just making that as a half-joke, but actually it'd be nice for some sort of bullhorn or something that can be heard farther than others for alerting people and things like that
and i'd like heavy bore cannons with as much upg. payload i could get
and another attribute? like what?

You can have a reasonable sonic attack that would block sensors and do damage to a wide range. I'm thinking 4D6 M.D. to a 100 foot radius plus blockage, effectively deafening opponents, can do the scream once per three turns, 6D6 M.D. and 150 feet under water. 30 BIO-E due to the large range and the fact that it can also be used as a bullhorn.
If you take Heavy Bore Cannons with upgraded payload, that'll eat up 90 of your BIO-E. Trust me, Light Bore Cannons with Omega Blaster gives you an uber good weapon, ad then over time you can upgrade it to Medium then Heavy.
...The other attribute I've referenced twice now. M.E. Mental Endurance. Roll 4D6, take the 3 best. Then if that's 16, 17 or 18, roll 2D6 and take the 1 best. Then if that roll produces a 6, 2D6 and take the 1 best again. This is really easy.

ok i got a 21 on M.E.
and i think i'll take your suggestion on on the weapons (WHO CAN RESIST THE PULL OF THE OMEGA CANNON)
i'd like to get rid of the scream but still have a bullhorn and a REALLY NICE speaker system

Suggestion taken! That leaves you with 28 BIO-E. Upgrade the Omega Cannon? Get other stuff like resistances or tails or arms?
That'd cost 5. What else do you want?

i think that SHOULD do it, thanks

...Except you have much more Bio-E for your Leviathan. With it, you could purchase enhanced strength and therefore claw damage, enhanced speed, weapons, possibly even flight capability for your Leviathan!

oooo! i like the prospect of flight, i also like the idea of maybe getting a larger cavity to hold people in

|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Sept 7, 2006 21:13:23 GMT -5
BTW: Lawful Good is not an alignment, Principled would be the equivalent.
I noted the larger cavity, I'm basically setting it as large enough to carry your party, that's why it cost 15 BIO-E. Flight could be done with gliding membranes, organic thrusters or wings.

|
|
Post by DUNCE on Sept 8, 2006 17:31:20 GMT -5
gliding membranes would be easily damagable... and wings could get me thrown through air... i think i'll take the thrusters
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Sept 12, 2006 16:27:39 GMT -5
Okay, that'll cost 70 BIO-E, so you're at 85 so far. 15 left.

Then the 15 BIO-E will be saved, but you can only use it at a Splicers base or after a level-up. I'm working on your equipment.
We still have to do Skills, but this character can be played now.
