as Omani and Roi reach the top of the mountain they realize they have found the spot where there mission shall commence the stopping point for the train carrying supplies into lightning country its a small station out in front of a copper mine the train is to pick up copper ore.
your mission objectives are as follows destroy the train and assassinate the cloud shinobi known as the shinigami.
according to omani's calculations the train should arrive in 5 minuets.

Roi looks at omani and says "I say we disable it so it doesn't run off" then looks at the tracks and tries to find anything that could be of use to break the tracks or disable the train

How much time do Omani and Roi have to plan before the mission? I'd like to know before we burn up our 5 minutes talking.

I understand that it was 5 minutes before the train arrived at the station, but did we meet right at the place and have zero time to coordinate? And can we do OOG planning here?

with the ammount of time used talking the train'd be gone by now... i say we just take stealthy positions and be ready for the trains arival, then stealth-kill anyone inside the train
ready? BREAK!

you have a little bit to formulate a ooc plan if you want (very little as I dont want to keep mario waiting)

|
|
Post by DUNCE on Oct 2, 2006 0:06:52 GMT -5
i agree on the mario part, but actually, with time to think, can we maybe remove some part of the track just beyond its stoping point as to keep the train there? thats my main concern

|
Post by songstress on Oct 2, 2006 0:07:54 GMT -5
yeah thats pretty reasonable but you would have to be fast because the mine workers are going to come out of the mine to load up the train once it gets there.

...That's my point. I'm saying we do OOG planning so then we immediately leap to action IG without worrying about it. As I see it, the options are a few fold:
1) Stop the train prematurely, perhaps with a tree or something else. 2) Wait and enter stealthily, finding some way to destroy it from the inside, probably by burning it with its own fuel.
My strength makes #1 a fun opportunity. Your infiltration makes #2 good. Flip for it? Or pursue an alternative strategy?
EDIT: Song points out something quite valid, your strategy has to be lightning quick. If we were to accomplish #1 somehow, we could kill a ton of the defenders just by the sudden stop and get a few minutes before anyone else even knew what was wrong. Further, a tree could have accidentally fallen over, so it doesn't necessarily reveal our presence.

ok, i ge to it and breath through my breathing apperatus to omani "do as i do, quickly please" then i'll get to work unbolting the tracks with a wedge of a kunai or something and removing the track just passed its stopping point
....P.s. "guns dont kill people, indicicion does"~Me

OOG; are you going with roi's plan of action?
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Oct 2, 2006 0:13:47 GMT -5
...Ummmm... so I guess I'm not actually playing here, since we're just running with your strategy without a second consideration.
Omani, irritated at the utterly cavalier behavior of his ally, says, "No, you idiot, why not do something different? Let's not play into their hand." He shakes his head and mutters as he looks at the landscape, seeing if there's a fitting obstacle to use, such as rocks or a tree, that could stop the train prematurely.
EDIT: If Roi runs off and does that, I'll do above action. If not, I'll wait for an actual plan we both agree upon.

OOG: i asked earlyer if there could be anything to break the tracks or disable the train but stop the train? huh... they could move rocks or trees in 5 minutes, but it would take considerably longer to replace tracks that have been un-bolted... and they'd need equipment which i doulbt average ore miners have

roi as you run down and remove part of the track omani runs off to start to knock down a tree it starts to fall...
mephiasu from your position on the train (on top of it) you see a tree start to fall in fron of the track......

OOG: Yes, but to take off enough of the tracks that would do something to the train would take a decent amount of time and would let the train slow down on its own. My plan has the fun component of "Stopping the whole train with a large object", you know, like a giant car crash. A'ight, I guess we're both doing our plans, which actually totally works, awesome . Omani will make sure to keep low the best he can as he places a barrier in the path of the oncoming train, also making sure that from his place of work he can keep track of Roi. Being separated, that'd be a terrible plan. He keeps quiet; he'll have to apologize to this erstwhile ally when this is done, but not yet.

OOG:dang... it took 5 minutes to take down a tree? i could see track removal taking that long but.... *note to self, remember to two rules
EDIT: once i see the train i dash to try and hide and leave a dust clone exactly where i was

OOG: Dude, it makes some sense. I may be damn strong, but I'm trying to move something large enough to actually violently stop a train, so I'm doing a lumberjack job in five minutes. I rule. Incidentally enough, I think if they pull the brakes for long enough, we should let the train workers go out first and investigate, then break in from a middle entrance and get to the engine as fast as we can. Then we have to find this Shinigami...
Omani is similarly trying to keep as low as he can.

Mephiasu will leap from the train in front of the tree in an attempt to push the tree in the opposite direction (18 str motherfuckers!)

OOG:i can feel the trees pain from here!
EDIT: at the sight of the cloud nin (if i get a good glimpse of him) i'll send my dust clone to attack him, and ready a few shuriken to throw at him once the insuing dust cloud envelops him

mephiasu's strength pushes the tree back towards you omani.
EDIT: how are you attacking him

my clone'll probably just try to to punch him

OOG: Am I above or below Mephiasu? If above, can I leverage my strength, the Fool's Bane, the beauty of gravity/the high ground and nodachi to cause the tree to go back once again , but this time into the train so we don't hot potato?

he is in midair you are standing on the ground and his blow is making the tree come down so that your best option is probably to dodge.

Agreed. Omani Spin Steps away, to the rear and to the side (whichever side his Battle Gaze suggests Ryu would be more vulnerable from), as fast as he can. It appears he has sussed out his competition.

mephiasu will attempt to send the attacker (a clone but he doesnt know that) flying with a solid kick and upon hitting the ground he will make a spinning slash to hopefully meet omani's spin step.
