A number of announcements to make!
First of all, posting has slowed: Getting 800 posts has taken far more time than before. Obviously some individual and communal ebb and tide are expected, but it has been fairly drastic. For example: Mace, Hack, and Sithof have scarcely posted. Has the size of the forum been a deterrent? Do people not know where to begin? Has it been finals, work, midterms, essays, senior projects, groundings, etc.? Just wanting to know. If anyone can answer for themselves or others, that'd be fine. That allows me to plan around members.
Justin (crazygeneral) has pressured me, admittedly with little resistance, to add a Rifts: NGR and Rifts: China campaign. The NGR campaign will be a fairly strictly military campaign, while the China campaign will include a wider range of D-Bees, occupations, infiltration play, and so on.
Justin came up with an idea: A passworded GM Channel for individual games to communicate. I could also create a Global GM Channel for all those given admin powers. PM me or post here if you wish that to be the case.
In addition, No Man Standing, a post-apocalyptic game, is hopefully going to start being run by Bleedyness.
This may be a little late to mention, but two D&D campaigns, one run by Cassidy/poisonuskeifer and Ashley Williams/Mario are starting up.
Plus we may be adding another game run by Tim, are expecting an upcoming game from Sam, possibly some V37 revisions, Justin may add a game based on myth and mythology (particularly in the Mediterrenean region circa the Roman Empire),
In CotG news, I am beginning to expand the list of basic Forbiddens and Transgressives. If particular classes should be expanded, inform me. Of course, most of the other characters store some, but do run abilities taken from other players by me, since some are unique to them.
Further, we have some new members and some old ones getting back into it! Ashley Williams Jr. (the brother), Ashley Williams II (the sister), Derrick Nightblade the bounty hunter, Sidius Smith the Lizardman Martyr, and Uzumaki Hinata (the daughter of Naruto and Hinata from Naruto) have been created and soon should join in on the action. In addition, I have finally contacted Ross (Solid Snake II and now Juggalo Roscoe) and he should begin some play. Chris N. is earning a vampire surgeon and hopefully should begin posting some more.
In the tournament, a total of five rounds have been finished: Banos defeated Envy, Jin brawled K'rtak and emerged scarcely victorious, Shae advanced over Shadowshine, Mike B. advanced over Ikash Harmuk and Denios triumphed in an incredible victory over Swaggard! In addition, Ruben began sparring with Mr. Fo and Clawthorn clashed with Marty Goldstein in Orgrimmar.
Unfortunately, that brings up some bad news: I am tentatively making the cutoff dates for rounds May 15th. After that date: Any PC/NPC fight has the PC automatically advance in most cases. If it is a PC/PC fight, and no one has posted, both are removed from the tournament! If one has posted, they automatically win. If both have posted, I determine who would win based on some criteria. Luckily, however, the way that the brackets will work out, there will be guaranteed bye slots even for losers. That allows me to make the next round a triple-octafinal match (32 matches). Reduced benefits will occur for byes, walk-overs, etc.
Also: If a bracket for the next round is filled (none have been filled yet) with both prospective slots ready, then I will begin it even before May 15th.
Also: People have started looking for Devil Fruits, moved forward in Colossi and gotten some new loot, and started Grand Casino endurance.
Finally: I am always contactable for questions at my e-mail, PM, phone, in person in Davis or Nevada County (the latter when I'm up), etc. Just be reasonable. And if you know anyone who you believe is mature and will enjoy this forum, invite them: All sorts of great people I know who run good campaigns have slipped away.
