Last I checked, the Golem was blasting through the bounty hunters, including the Mimicker. Did he ever win?

I am pretty sure he did. He stole the Mimicker's ability to mimic...but I cant remember much else...

I remember him smashing things up, the cop showing up, and him teleporting back and Tempus telling him that he had done fine.

Tempus says, "Well, that went bust, but you had an unexpected opponent. Some of them will now be in jail, possibly Gramercy, so we did well enough." Tempus takes out a ring. "Put this on your ring finger. It will allow you to assume human form, BUT it must be one consistent human form, you can only adopt the form during the day and then only for a limited time period. It'll work on any finger, but the ring finger helps explain away some... questions."

Taking the ring, Mattox holds it against the light, examining it. "To be able to walk among the Lost Flock may prove to be a great asset. Though I do not understand what, questions, it would help explain if I were to act as though married."

"Yes. Yes, it would. Okay, have fun!" A portal is opened, in Tempus' usual style.

Sliding the ring upon his ring finger, still slightly puzzled with Tempus' answer, Mattox assumes the form of a black and red robed minister, with a collar of red instead of white. The human aspect of the form is a bristly white haired man in his late 50s with a trimmed but full beard.
Not bothering to look back, Mattox steps through the portal.

The portal opens in an isolated pew of a church. The golem feels once more at home, and a twinge of what may be called "guilt" runs through his mind about killing that priest... but then it is silenced. No time for guilt!
So, whatcha wanna do?

Testing out how much of his form is illusion and how much of it is actual change, Mattox jumps around for a few moments, gauging how much impact he creates. When satisfied, he will look for internal rooms in the church to explore.

There is no noticeable sinking or sagging. Then again, he didn't make sinking or sagging originally... The pews don't break... He can even climb up a drapery!
By this point, Mattox has attracted the attention of a priest. The priest says, "Father... are we afflicted with the holy... spirit?" He is a paunchy and balding man, not entirely imposing, his eyes seeming piggy and dead.

"No. Forgive me Father, it seems I have made a fool of myself." Walking up to the man, puts a heavy hand on his shoulder, smiling. "I am Father Mattox of the Holy Red Church of Our Lord. I am here visiting the city for the moment. I wonder if I could ask you a question? What is the size of your flock?"

"I tend three hundred children of the Lord, sometimes more after certain events (say, Jesus Christ Superstar; always liked that), sometimes less. Masses go to the thousands. Most are Irish Catholic, though I have a substantial new Latino congregation. I am pleased to meet you, Father Mattox. We all feel... bizarre at some point."
