In discovering the engine of fate that drives the universe in order to battle Itek, CH is finding that karma may be a key to defeat Itek, given that it is the universe's own way of harming those who have negative intentions. There are rumors of a storehouse of karma that would allow the team to benefit from their good actions...

Could Mace go talk to Fred? Him being a Bodhisavatta (sp?) and all, I'm sure he would know something about karma.

Yep, Fred would be a good source. What will Hack do?

Mace will teleport to Fred's place. "Hey dad! Just curious, but what would you happen to know about karma? Particularly, stashed roomfuls in some unknown place in the universe that could help the CH some how?"
(By the way, Fred, do you ever feel weird about referring to yourself in the third-person? O.o; )

Fred sighs and turns to Mace. "You should know better than anyone else that there isn't stashed roomfuls of karma." OOG: Sometimes, yes I do. Ever feel weird referring to someone named Fred as "dad"?

(Very, much so. lol )
"Eh, hehe..." Mace scratches the back of his head, randomly scratching his dad's back. "Hmm, any ideas as to the rumours abounding about 'roomfuls of karma'? Makes me wonder about some things. Like, maybe a dimension where karma has a more physical form? Like...ki?"

Fred raises an eyebrow. "No, dude. I think what you're talking about is the Engine of Karma."
So how will those three jump in?

well my first response is literally but somehow that dosen't seem wise, especailly considering that their combined weight is over two tons, though that weight is negligable in this universe, so how bout a simple entrance

"That works. What can you tell me pappy?"

Entrance... where?
"The Engine of Karma is the spiritual manifestation, very difficult to enter shamanically or with meditation and projection, of the device that powers the moral energy of the universe."

"Hmmm...so it's practically impossible to find someone so morally pure (in the sense of being one with their sub-conscious) that it can't lead back to the Engine? This just got ten million times harder for me." He plops on to the ground, holding his chin in his hand. "Did you ever use karma to battle the All-Monster or for anything at all?"

"We all use karma, constantly. And there are some ways..."

"Well, I know that dad, but I mean...wait, what 'ways'?"

"Rapid purification, leaping from the Sanctum of Sanctums to it, perhaps assistance from the Jade Emperor, a physical entrance somewhere..."

"Rapid purification?" Mace considered the possibilities and countless definitions he could use for that one word combination alone. Purified by burning like the Salem Witch Trials, water cleansing, clearing the mind, etc. He didn't want it to be the former.

"One must go through a rapid process of karmic, chakra and spiritual cleansing, burning out all spiritual impurities."

"Know anyone who can teach a select few of the CH in that process? Or at least give us instructions how to? I know you probably could, but I figure I shouldn't take up too much of your time. I did leave you to babysit a house, that took time out of your day." Mace grinned at that memory.

Fred smiles slightly puckishly. "If only you remembered the resources you 'tards already HAD. The Chiu Huan allows one to rapidly purify oneself, not to mention that rad Planejump potion you have unlimited amounts of."

"Ahh, right right...so, purifying myself, would that open up something in my mind that will lead me to the Engine? Or is that just a start? The Planejump potion I think would be great, if I could figure out what exactly I'm tuning myself for." Mace is obviously quite oblivious to a lot of things, even if he's been raised around them.

"Could be any of the above. Planejump more has to do with planes of reality, though it could help."
OOG: Don't know WHY he's oblivious, but...

(We're past this. Jerry went to get the Planejump potion, but we stopped so you could figure out what would happen if he took it.)

OOG: No, Jerry took the Chiu Huan, Mace was figuring out a way besides Chiu Huan.

(No, Mace completely handed over all responsibility for now to Jerry to see what he could come up with. Jerry was on his way TO take Chiu Huan. I made a typo and wrote Planejump, but anyway. Mace isn't trying to do anything, he went to go get sushi. But Jerry is considering tuning himself with planejump to karma, if that's even possible.)

OOG: Ah, yes. Here's the problem: If Jerry goes with Chiu Huan, he can't really take anyone else. And I suppose it's possible - that'd probably actually take anyone who drank it to the Karmic Wheel!
