The team here was (in order of initaitive):
Felhame Quion Seiryu Bombardi II High Noon Cowboy Ruben Shae Dr. Og Krane Mike Denios Sarashito Kumo Fatal Error Xexilia Zenexoria Helvena Erishkai/Danara Handyman
The group was now fighting the birds sent off to protect the Codex which seemed to be evolving in response to their attacks as a communal hivemind.

Can my Crew go in and help?

I suppose, though it might slow stuff down. Then again, doesn't seem that this will get off the ground too fast anyways ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Alrighty. Are we with the group or do we have to track them down before we can help fight the birds?

Which of my characters can attack first?

Laura just barely. The other two will have to endure an attack.

Laura will just fire a caster round, low-grade. What kind of attack are Mace and brent receiving?

The birds are swooping in in regulated attack patterns and seem to be evolving an energy blast attack as well.

Since I don't know how powerful spells have to be lately (Like how you corrected me about curaga needing to be Restorer to be of any use), I'll cast whatever you see equivalent for our game of Protect on the team.

Protect III or IV. Problem with Protect is that it reduces damage but does not absorb or soak it the way a barrier does, though Protect III does have a limited barrier function.

Any spells that have a good balance between the two?

Invincible Armor, though that's more for energy attacks, and Juggernaut Shape.

Juggernaut Shape then.

Laura's blast explodes outwards, making a ray of spinning purple energy that fires out through the sky and beyond the atmosphere. Many of the crows move away, as if automatically repelled by the energy, but the sheer radius and power of it kills many of them. Mace manages to get the Juggernaut Shape off before the birds begin to batter inwards.
Will Jerry jump in?

Yeah. He'll simply just pull out his Seburo M-5 and fire off anti-cyborg rounds at any of the birds.

Jerry leaps in but is immediately blindsided. He is clobbered like Mace and Brent, but managed to get the Juggernaut Shape. Jerry is stunned, Mace can act twice, Brent can act once. No DIO unless you can fit it all into one post.
