DI's necromancer rival has declared open war on the team, and his minions have fought everyone from Mace to Hack! Those who want to fight back can do here.

Yes, but with NPCs and you you should have possibly up to 30-40 people. What to do assuming you can't get other PCs on?

What NPCs and what's the plan?

all NPC's willing and reasonably able to tackle undead, which means probably everyone planning, hmm here's my character's reactions "KILL"H&T "i suggest caution"DI "KILL"H&T "I agree"A "KILL"H&T "with the killing or the caution"DI "KILL"H&T "caution of course"A zelen stands silent as he dosen't care about the tactics so long as the desired effect is achieved, Victoria is silent out of shyness, god dammit i want keryis for this mission

Right. Problem is, as always, there isn't just a place you can run to kill. You need to find the guy first.

okay find fuckers, kill fuckers, better idea, find fuckers, lure fuckers to an area of our choosing and advantage, kill fuckers, now the specifics

Waiting on the specifics here.

Brent fluxes to sensory mage and scans for entities of necromatic energy. Mace will scan as well, Laura checking for anything that has to do with probable locations.

The first two find nothing. The universe is big and this guy clearly doesn't want to be found too often. Laura's search is hampered by the fact that she needs a little more data.

Who/what were the guys who attacked us? That should give us some clues, also some specifics about the battles woyld be nice.

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Dec 26, 2006 23:04:46 GMT -5
For the latter, you might need to talk to Dark Inferno or some of his cultists. The things that attacked you were Moving Graves. Not quite sure what clue that gives you, aside from the fact that the necromancer here has a unique style and several special units.

Okay, Brent will go talk to DI if he's an NPC, if not, to some of his cultists if possible. Laura will head to the CH database and look up any cases where the CH has been attacked by Moving Graves or any creatures in relation to the necromancer. She'll also try the LAPD and NYPD databases for such relations.

DUUH BAIT THE FUCKER why diddn't i think of this earlier, alright he would be extremely pleased if information "just happend" to come his way about Inferno being in a position of danger, one where he could dispatch inferno with what he believes to be little enough threat that he could do it himself (to imagine this guy picture an overdramatic comic book villan that happens to enjoy commiting the most henous acts known to man, and is a total whackjob) and as you know we'll naturally be waiting there for him, i want to finish Hack's second adventure though, somehow a Reaper seems helpful in situations involviong undead

Problem is that waiting could let him continue to grow in power. He also would need to hear it from a trusted souce. You two chat here, but Laura should know: DI believes that his rival would have taken over a technological nation and ruined it into abject poverty for sheer sadism and greed, so it might be good to look for such a nation.

Any such notes of nations recently falling to pieces on the Net?
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Dec 31, 2006 18:31:34 GMT -5
No: In all likelihood, he would have chosen a nation not linked to the flow of interdimensional traffic and therefore the modern Net you use.

yeah he's a bastard like that edit: if anyone has confronted an army of undead in recent history it may be a good idea to post here, espacailly if said army had diverse units and some wierd fleshy nets that hamper your AOE's

|
|
Post by Mace Parshath on Jan 5, 2007 19:30:10 GMT -5
Hmm, any details of dimensions with such nations in them noted in the CH database? If not 'such nations', any technological societies the CH has lost contact with?

|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Jan 7, 2007 15:17:08 GMT -5
Mace has confronted them, not sure who else has, but they only use the flesh nets when they're sending larger groups.
Plenty for the former, but remember, he'd have taken a nation off the beaten path without constant contact, preferably with none. A Cyber-Knight did report a strange amount of necromantic activity in a particular star system in the Three Galaxies...

An Ukt Water Serpent Cosmo-Knight by the name of Oonagailes. He has since put out a distress call for assistance.

acctually dude, one of our communals is the ability to teleport

|
Post by Mace Parshath on Jan 12, 2007 13:42:39 GMT -5
Yeah, I'm well aware of that. But some places you just can't teleport right into. Besides Mace is the best teleporter at the CH, by far.
