Description: Growing up on a deathworld outpost with his father working as a bodyguard for a cartel. While growing up he learned how to defend himself from many nightmarish creatures, always having some sort of weapon, bladed or firearm, within reach. As he reached adolescence, the cartel cuts off communication to the planet due to bureaucratic technicalities, in the confusion representatives from the cartel and employees started killing eachother in a storm of blame over their abandonment. After feral native creatures breached the outpost perimeter as a result of the infighting, Horst is the only imperial left alive. Alone and in constant danger, he turns to Imperial Holy script for hope of the Emperor's salvation from his hell.
After 5 years of surviving on his own, his salvation is granted by the disappearance of the warp storm and the appearance of a rogue trader not much later to salvage what the cartel left behind.
