Mario and I have decided to run a gritty fantasy campaign! Check out the Character Creation and Rules! We'll probably start individual and small group play soon.

my first thought is, "scorched sky? don't you mean ITM?" but my first question is, "scorched sky? is that gonna be like ITM?"

Not at all.
A) It's not post-apocalyptic. Bad shit is happening, but it is not an apocalypse, but rather a new, looming darkness.
B) You don't play yourself.
C) It's FANTASY. No guns, no technology, very limited psionics and ki influence. Further, it's not so much D&D as Conan: Magic is limited, fantastical, and a dangerous force. It is a poor, medieval time period.
Given that it uses the dot system and a lot of our inspiration was Berserk / Flame of Recca / Fire Emblem (alongside Diablo), it's actually closer to Fantasy Janus Vertice...

Mostly I just wanted to run something low fantasy like diablo, conan, and more traditional D&D (Without all the warforged and drow and elemental flying ships and shit) mostly a swords and sorcery kind of deal. Fred wanted to add the other elements which is fine. The last reason was that we have like a thousand games where you play yourself and frankly I think that's quite enough don't you?

3, not counting ITM 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0., 5.5, 6.0 and MA 1.0.
Though I wouldn't call Diablo "low fantasy", but the hope is to have a gritty fantasy world.

at least 7 if you count the other knockoffs and I wouldn't be surprised if there were more I didn't know about.

True, and 8 if we count Chris' zombie game, and...

we might have to start keeping track of these before it becomes too late, and the 'play yourself' RP's begin to rise up against us!

They're so angsty and pimple-ridden that I think we can call them ugly cousins to D&D and they'll hide in a corner.
