Lets do something Pirate-like then! Like steal from the bad and give to the poor in order to stimulate the economy and lower interest rates?

That'd be the hope. Do note, though, that increased technology made the economy a lot better. For example: Oil shocks became a thing of the past when five years ago ten times the gas reserves were found. (It does mean global warming becomes a potential problem, even though it's actually under control at the moment, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it).
Right now, the team has a lot of ships and a lot of generic crewmen. Expanding the fleet isn't going to be useful for much longer, though. So, we need to:
A) Actually pull some heists. Fred is a "Peace Main" pirate, not a "Morgana" pirate: Like Guybrush, Luffy and Jack, he's more about exploring, finding treasure, liberating islands from tyrants, etc. That having been said, he doesn't mind particular acts of out-and-out piracy.
B) Build an actual elite crew. Like Guybrush and Luffy, Fred would like a core crew of badasses who are not you guys and not the ninja.
C) In line with A, get a reputation. You guys are random pirates. Beating an evil crew would be a good place to start.
D) Get some reliable sub-commanders and a better command structure so the fleet can be a full fleet.
E) Get far enough out the Grand Line to get some rep built.
F) Find Big Whoop! Or the Secret of Monkey Island! Or the Ultimate Insult! Or [Insert MacGuffin here!]
G) Become a Yonkou and then the Kaizoku-O!

Are those Glazed MacGuffin? Made with real chicken product?
So, all of our pirate crews are just run of the mill guys? Or do we have some elite dudes?
I like the plan of taking out another, more evil pirate crew. We might be able to convince them to join us. Then we can start getting together a top notch pirate ship!

No, more like Buffalo McGuffin.
We have warlocks of Air, Fire and Earth, a heir to the title of Seven Swordsman of the Mist, a horrible corpse giant / Frankenstein thingy, a Devil Fruit user who turns into concrete, some mist ninjutsu / genjutsu / taijutsu experts, an expert in Rokushiki, priests, and a few others.
The strategy of beating up crews and press-ganging them is a good one. Fred has L compile a list of targets - how might Cassidy assist?

With Cassidys teleporting powers he could disable ships before we go in for the capture so they cant fight back as effectively additionally I want in on this.
