The birth of Brek.
It is not a pleasant time. It was not announced, or warned.
Every television station in the world broadcasts it when they receive it. Billions are united in seeing a boy the vast majority have never seen, and many who have no longer remember their encounters with him. But they will remember him now.
"I am Brek, the new Sinistral of Destruction. I once was a man, a human just like you. But now I am a Lord that controls, loves, spreads destruction.
I am announcing for you that the world is about to become a very ugly place. There were only three of us before. But now all four of us are united. With four comes the destruction of humanity and the new reign of the Sinistrals over the battered shell of your world!
We want nothing but your unconditional surrender. We need nothing but your deaths. New York, Grass Valley, Africa and Russia have already seen the power of the suffering we spread. Now it will be all of you."
But the worst part is that those who DO recognize this new 'Brek'...
Recognize him as Fred.

Since the restart:
The team has a private detective agency-cum-superhero group operating in SF, LA, GV and NY.
This detective agency has so far picked up a few missions.
Abigail Whistler, one of the team's support personnel, heard about a shipment of a new drug called Blue X. Mario and Ray found and stopped the shipment, but the dealer, known colloquially as Cruz de la Agonia, "killed himself" in jail. It's odd; the Blue X was being sold for much less profit than normal and introduced into an area that had very little demand for it.
Mario, Fred and Redfox then took a job for Sanctuary Eight. They tracked down three Kin, the McLean brothers, and easily captured them. They got paid $100,000 for it.
Afterwards, Mario was suspicious of Sanctuary Eight, but first had to protect a district attorney from the Flame and Crane Gang, a new gang that is pushing into San Fran. The DA was being targeted by an assassin called Tonfa. The DA was staying near a lake in GV to protect himself. Tonfa attacked at night, facing Ray, Black, Mario, Fred and Redfox. It seemed at first that Tonfa was a robot, then four robots, but they soon found that Tonfa was a vampire who had kept his vampirism smartly hidden and had not advertised it. They defeated Tonfa, but before they could interrogate him, a silver and wood bomb blew him up from the inside. Mario was sure Tonfa did not know about the bomb.
Afterwards, the team began to do some background checking both on Sanctuary Eight and Flame and Crane. When leaving San Francisco, Mario, Redfox, Black and Fred were accosted by a Nobody called Aulpax who claimed to be #2 in Organization XIII. He claimed that O-XIII are trying to create more Nobodies by corrupting great heroes and making more Heartless, so that Nobodies are not alone. The four managed to repel him with a final assault from Black's explosive spray paint rune and Redfox's Spectrum Torus.
Black and Mario then infiltrated Sanctuary Eight. They soon found that seven of the titular Eight were... the Slaughterhouse Seven, escapees from Gramercy and malevolent Mega-Villains all. It seems their plan is to gain world dominance by becoming the sole security force of the world. Their next phase of operations? To launch a campaign of hysteria against Kin.
Meanwhile, Feickert and Cory investigated the backer of Flame and Crane and Cruz de la Agonia. Going in the Spirit Realm, they found that a supposed salvage project in the Atlantic Ocean by a particular company, Gordon Associates Ltd., was actually trying to find the Mammon Machine. Afterwards, a fortune teller named Jade informed them that a man was seeking to become one with a daemon of gluttony or greed.
In a strip club bathroom (don't ask), Fred, Feickert, Cory and Redfox were assaulted by Xefas, #4 of Organization XIII. Using his Jinn's Shamshir and summoning Fullbodies, he managed to stretch the team to their breaking point, but was finally repelled by Sickle and Tornado.

Fred and Mario attempted to acquire help to stop the retrieval of the Mammon Machine from the ocean floor. Asking around, they heard that one of the few pirate crews that would be willing to help would be the Straw Hats. But the Pirates had fallen off the radar at Balabala Island. Meeting Belthasar in his lab in Nevada, they discovered that he had been repairing a ship called the Dagger that would be worthy of the Grand Line. To repair the ship, they went to 65,000,000 BC to find Dreamstone. It turned out that a group called the Tyrant Remnant had some.
Flynn Carsen of the Library also asked the team for assistance. Specifically, he wanted them to re-acquire Caesar's Laurels. Someone with the Laurels would become a god. On the ship ride to Shanghai, where the Laurels had been taken, the team battled Chariot and Strength, two fighters from some manner of organization that seems to be Tarot-themed in their membership.
After managing to hold off Chariot and Strength by summoning assistance from Azeroth and WoW-themed Kin, the team then beat a Chinese general, Ang-se Tung, who apparently wanted to use the Laurels to insure the ascendance of China as a new hegemon. The team terrified Ang-se Tung in the Shadow Realm with the toxins from Fearcrow, driving him almost catatonic. UN and Chinese agents took the paramilitary group.
In total, the team made $1 million from the job, $10 million from bonus gold material from the Philosopher's Stone, and $100 million from selling some of the items Ang-se Tung's men used. This managed to get the organization out of the red and into the black. Unfortunately, the repair costs and buying off debts sunk a lot of the money, but the team now has enough of a buffer to cover operating costs.
After they returned the Laurel, the team received a letter from Augustus Antony, the pilot of Chariot, naming himself after Augustus Octavius Caesar and Mark Antony. The letter thanked the team for proving that a conquering will defeated the old gods. Chariot had been given the confidence to make his own Laurels.
The sherpas that Feickert and Cory had hired to dig in the desert to give credence to the teams' archaeological alibi found something: An ancient Shao-lin temple. Exploring it, they discovered many mysteries...
And Panda (short for Pandemonium), the team's mechanic, has built a ultra-fast private airship with the money created! He also upgraded Fred's ship, the Freestar, and built a dense tank designed to delve into lava or under the Earth.
