Exploring cyberspace! Many a thing to do. Steal bank accounts, battle entities and get files for one's Navi, investigate problems...

archeus will start setting up nodes within various banks with stealth/wiring missions so milkdrop can tap them. also mod bank computers.

Makes sense. But how will you get the missions? And what will be your character's online Avatars/Navis? (Archeus would be the strongest, of course.)

screw it why not, mindjack baby, lets investigate a few viruses avatar Hack+tron DI don't even know what the fuck a computer is, pardon my french

...If I wanted to bleep fuck, as everyone who saw the April Fool's knows, it would take me three seconds . Hack appears in the Crashing Heavens node. The visualization format he chooses is probably a relatively dark one, so Crashing Heavens is a ridiculously large brass city. Nearly immediately, Hack sees, just barely beyond the defense barriers, a floating amalgamation that indicates a virus' attempt at creating a firewall cloak!

hm hm.... well lets move over to the virus and give him a taste of the fire he's been screwing with, body control fire, and drop kick the sum-bitch
I assume you already have thought of this but, when hack is jacking in he make will power checks, not computer use

Yeah, that does only work so far, depending on the situation. And do you mean Strength or your Affinities or what?
The virus "sees" Hack coming and begins to retreat down the pipeline to the Twanchen city mainframe.

i mean all of it is based entirely on his willpower, physical power affinities etc. less its run by another mental area.
"oh no you don't" and giant drop kick while flaming

Remember: Speed, location, trajectories, etc. work a lot differently in cyberspace. An ax kick may not be the best interception strategy.

Post by Vincent Hack on Apr 27, 2006 21:26:17 GMT -5
hmm perhaps a little "elemental" control, meld into cyberspace and intercept

Hack's lack of experience here relative to others is beginning to harm him, as he's unable to become ubiquitous enough. The virus broadens its firewall and Hack powers past it, and soon it and him are spinning wildly. The ether is making it impossible to see...

Pyre?
The spinning completely throws off the accuracy, and the Pyre opens in the midst of nowhere, elemental energy forming in the mystic no man's land of cyberspace. Luckily, Hack amazingly has more turn.

WAAAAIIIITT a minute why diddn't i think of this earlier, the axes come out and now we go with my F2 whirlwind attack in the opposite direction of my current spin.

Amazingly, Hack does not only regain control, but he now has the full "momentum" with him. Momentum does work differently here, but the technique he is using is basically running a physics engine spontaneously.

Post by Vincent Hack on May 15, 2006 17:54:21 GMT -5
now we turn the "momentum" against the virus

Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on May 15, 2006 21:36:44 GMT -5
In what form? A "kinetic" bolt? A spinning assault? Etc.
Post by Vincent Hack on May 16, 2006 17:42:47 GMT -5
hmm kenitic bolt sounds fun
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on May 17, 2006 9:59:41 GMT -5
The bolt strikes the virus, reducing the area of firewalls around it. It is not revealed yet.
DIO extenders that apply here, such as the ninja?

the ninja goes with a coup de grax

The virus' outermost firewall is finally revealed, and the form that can be seen now is a bizarre one. Classical in its architecture, its form is like an ancient symbol of power, nothing humanoid at all...
(Let's work out your DIO extenders - in the meantime, have Shi or BW accompanied you? And remember your Divine Aura minions...)

hmm, acctually Ogee is with me, trying to make money by hijacking some viruses and using them do do his dirty work
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on May 19, 2006 22:16:33 GMT -5
So Ogee should go.
Post by Vincent Hack on May 22, 2006 17:56:53 GMT -5
well lets go with something like an aid another action
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on May 23, 2006 3:12:01 GMT -5
What in particular?
Post by Vincent Hack on May 24, 2006 18:24:51 GMT -5
add a few points of damage to Hack's attacks
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on May 24, 2006 22:59:50 GMT -5
Ogee rolls a 96/100 for that, allowing Hack an immediate assault with 100 points to distribute as bonuses between strike and damage!
Post by Vincent Hack on May 31, 2006 17:28:15 GMT -5
alright then 25 to attack and 75 to damage
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on May 31, 2006 20:11:56 GMT -5
What will the assault be?
