Again, I feel I need to focus on characters other than Mace. Maybe with Brent we could figure out what he was before his exile in the Colossi and possibly even flesh out his Flex abilities? How to balance it and such.

Maybe, throw me out some ideas?

Sorry, not what he was, but what he did to get exiled. Maybe general fear of his abilities? Some higher-ups looked at him as a threat or something?
I have no ideas on the Flexing ability. You came up with the idea, what sort of limitations would you like to see applied? I know we've talked about how frequently he flexes.

Yes, general fear is most likely.
There's no limitations, really, but it's a better device if you save it as much as possible.

Ah, okay. Any particular reasons why? I'm thinking maybe we should set a scale of how many points can be 'flexed' into a different attribute, how many into a different affinity, etc. Would he have the same potency in a certain kind of magic as someone who grew up learning that kind of magic?
What kind of Colossi was Brent trapped in? Wasn't it Spartan-like? Maybe the people thought the Spartan a symbol of strength so it was used to seal Brent? It would be cool to have Brent fight some Spartans before he went down.

The scales are the amount I gave you in each category. The key problem with Flexing is that even as good as you are at it you have a certain basic build as well that can't be Flexed. There's only so much malleability, so to speak.
If you Flex into a statistical clone (down the line: Magic, CPs, abilities, Merits, etc.) of someone who knew X variety of magic or really any discipline or skill, the only differentiating factor is personal history, personality compatibility, and stuff like that. In short, not very much. That is why Brent is so feared.
It was more humanoid with a variety of powers. Could be something like what you propose.

Ah, alrighty. I think I remember the numbers. So basic disadvantage is that he can only Flex so much before he'd be outside his basic structure, which can't be changed. I see. So he can't go from psionic juggernaut to axe-wielding brute? Well, he could, but not completely.
Hmm. Maybe when he got merged into the universe, he caused a lot of destruction by accident and people thought it was him attacking? Maybe they sought out a powerful, worshipped sort of architect that could bring statues to life or something.
