Similar to what I want to do with Laura, but focus more on how he joined the Yakuza and I want to figure out what being Yakuza is like. This will allow me a better understanding of his history and contacts, which he should have a lot more of.

I suppose we can do that, but you can figure out his contacts on your own if you'd like.

I'm horrible with figuring out contacts, I'd need to be in situations to get ideas as to what kind of personas he'd work with and which he'd stay away from.
The Yakuza took him in when he was still less than four years old. Yakuza murdered his parents for not paying back cash, saw the use of training a kid from near scratch, and took him in. He is pretty much white, would that have any bearign on his status within the Yakuza?

It might. The Yakuza are of two minds: Many are nationalistic or have the lower-class privileges, viewing themselves as defending Japan from the gaijin. But since many yakuza are eta, low caste, or poor, they will also ignore that. Basically, you'd need to just excel to be recognized.

Maybe excel in martial arts and smuggling? I'd like to have had him focusing on smuggling before he joined the CH. At what age would he start training in martial arts? And about what age would the Yakuza expect someone coming into their clan as a baby to start demonstrating excellence or exceptional potential in a field?
