"I feel like...I'm always behind. Not necessarily in power, but in the clues. I've been involved with this universe and I'm just now getting some things. What does Kalaybero want!?" Mace stands up and kicks his bed forcefully, gritting his teeth.

"I have been here for its entire breadth and span. I don't know everything eizer. Would you prefer to have no more exploration?"

"I meant, I feel like I'm always a step behind everyone else. Of course I want discovery! I guess i'm just stupid," Mace kicks his bed again, but instead of stopping, continues to smash his heel into the frame. He would've liked to have used his magic to blow something up, but knows he can't, so he's settling for his alternative.
He turns to Tyrant, seeming as if he's ready to pounce on him and try to remove the eye from the pyramid, but being Mace, he knows better than to screw with Tyrant. The guy created the universe! THAT would be stupid. Mace just stares for a few moments then seems to need to take deep breaths to calm himself down. "I need a hint, Tyrant. Somewhere to work off of. You seemed to approve of me meditating, so do you think , maybe, I should start there?" He never realized before he talked so much with his hands nowadays and blinks at all the gesturing he just did.
"The Imperium siege is going to be soon, and personally, I want to tear the Imperator's tongue out and turn it into a bomb and annihilate him with it. But I'm stuck here because I was an idiot and sought (sp?) out Kalaybero and now he's putting me through something I'm not good at: Thinking." He sighs heavily and starts beating his head into wall, standing there pathetically as does so.

"Zo shouldn't you be thanking him? For giving you an opportunity to do something new?"

"I guess. Yeah. I never really liked the thinking part of adventures. I always tried just breaking things apart. Left the puzzles to the rest of my team. I always expected things to be handed to me. All the answers just there in the open and for me to grab."

"But zis is not some idle puzzle. Zis is your life. And growing up, as I understand it, requires one to ponder zome very difficult problems."

"Yeah. Growing up...what kind of 'difficult problems' are ya talking about?"

"It varies from race to race, person to person, culture to culture..."

"Maybe mine is my arrogant, power-mongering self and my hatred for bullies. Maybe also my problem is just my maturity level."

"BECAUSE THERE IS!" He yells, his head working in odd directions and his hands flailing over his head. "I'm an asshole!"

Mace stares at Tyrant blankly. He plops down again. "Okay, next question."

"Ah." Tyrant remains silent.

Mace groans. "Sometimes Tyrant..." Mace shakes his fist half-assedly and groans again. "Sorry. I guess I'm not an asshole. Though when you said you're doing what Socrates did about asking simple questions, did he expect simple answers? Or complicated ones? Because that right there could help me clean my mess up I've dug for myself. I'm confused as to where to start my thought process."

"He expected ze answers that made sense. Simplicity is a goal to aim for, since elegance has less points of failure, but truth always trumps simplicity. One question: Iz it not a bit narcissistic to assume that ze problems you face in this massive universe are all your own? Zat this objects have come into your hand for a reason to do with YOU?"

"Yeah, I guess it is. Maybe Kalaybero didn't know who would get them, if at all. I didn't feel any sort of destiny coming into play like I did when I met Relzka."

"He may very well have known, but zat does not mean that he chose you. Perhaps he chose your time, or chose for events that were around you. You keep coming back to core lessons that YOU must learn. Perhaps your agency is not at question here? Maybe the lesson will come at a certain time irrespective of your actions?"

"I'll look into things, Tyrant. I'm going to try and stop overanalyzing things." He takes one deep breath, holds it, then lets it go. "I think you're saying I need to look at the bigger picture, beyond myself. We are apart of God, since God is the Universe...Maybe we're all working in sync with one another, what we're doing is what we're supposed to do? Fate, ye know."
