OOG: She can pretty much move now because the Spinarak were scared away. Although to be safe, I would try to break ALL webs around you. Also, it's Gastly's turn to attack.

Randy will use any sharp object she has (probably a badass knife she carries around to be a punk) and try to cut the remaining webbing.
Randy will instruct Gastly to begin by creating his muddling and mesmerizing sound [Confuse Ray] with the hope of making the opposing Spinarak unable to fight.

The webbing is easily sliced and the only thing wrong now is that you cannot use your knife anymore until you get it cleaned. Gastly succeeds in confusing the Spinarak but it seems to be able to see through that this time and attacks. A shadow image of the spinarak leaps from the original and tackles the ghost, sending it floating back a bit. (night shade)

Fred, this becomes an intertwining plot, as Krystal has bumped into you on her adventure. You should probably read her thread.

Gastly now begins moving in and out of the objects around, nursing its wound and making the Spinarak confused, traversing at ever faster speeds to make blurring images of itself, preparing to smash into Spinarak in the same way Spinarak slammed into it.

Spinarak is confused. . .
It hurts itself in it's confusion!
Spinarak crashes it's astral self (now you know how it hurt you) into a spiritual object and damged itself. It sees somehow through this haze and sends a psywave at Gastly. (crunches numbers) It did little damage, but damage is damage and you weren't confused. However you cannot use your confusion attack anymore.
BTW someninja fight is gonna hopefully be thursday

Randy calls out, "Shadow Ball!" The Gastly sadistically sneers and conjures a black sphere, throwing it at the Spinarak in the hope of smashing the physical form of the astrally weakened creature through its web and onto the ground, simultaneously weakening its defense against an immediately following [next turn if necessary] Night Shade of Gastly's own.

You have a chance to throw three poke balls at it. Or have three actions. Either way if you attack again it will become uncatchable.

Randy will have the Gastly keep close watch. She cocks her arm back and throws the ball as best she can, wincing through the pain to get Spinarak.

The ball absorbs the spider and lay on the ground where it once was. IT shook, shook once more, and seemed to stop for a moment, twitched, and the red light from the seal of the pokeball cooled from red to a calm white. The pokemon was captured!

Randy advanced forward, grasps her Pokeball, places it into her belt, and rubs her shoulder in pain. She winces and says, "I need to go back..." She'll turn around and begin to head back to town.

Suddenly she feels the weight of the spider lift from her and as she turns around sees another female trainer up and snatch the pokemon right from her back!

Randy sees the woman behind her take the Spinarak off. "Phew.... I thought I'd have to give that thing orders with its teeth constantly in my back." [Wink, wink, Glenn ]. "Thanks anyways, now would you be a total dude and help me get back to a Pokemon Center so I don't die in the wilderness of poison?" Randy bats her eyelashes cutely at the last part.

"I wouldn't be much of a dude, so you have no need to flirt with your eyes--but sure. I'll lend you a hand, or shoulder." Kurisutaru smiles slight, but nothing else as she fits the used Pokeball onto her belt. "Do you just want to lean on me or get a ride from Skarsgard?" She looks back at her Skarmory as she stretches out her wings.

Randy laughs. "I'm not a dyke... well, not most of the time. Whatever you can give me would be nice on the ride, though. Where you going?"

*If Kurisutaru would remember to tell Randy, Oak had an errand to run and would be out until the next week.*
Nevertheless, Kurisutaru and Randy made their way to the pokemon center. Randy lay in the bed they had fashioned for their first human patient and Kurisutaru waited for Spinarak (Green) to be checked up on and given appropriate initial care. Kurisutaru could make it to the Gym before Brock headed home for the night or she could wait for Randy and go together with her. Either way, Randy is stuck in the center amidst the Nurse Joy there scolding Randy's carelessness.

She'll wait for Randy, plus she wants to bond at least a smidge with Venom, and have her and Skarsgard get along too.

Randy shrugs at Nurse Joy. "Hey, I'm surprised this doesn't happen infinitely more often! Spinarak are territorial creatures and there's a ton of them in the forest. [Another inside joke ]." Randy spends her remaining time speaking to her Pokemon. To Steelix, she says: "You've been doing a great job. I know I've been using you frequently, but I know it's because you want to thrash as badly as I do. Your Steel Coat is nice, isn't it? We're going to be fighting someone really tough, so I need you to trust me and keep working the best you can." To the Spinarak, she says: "I know you'd rather be free, but I think that you'll find that being with me has some real benefits. If you do well and try your hardest, you'll be rewarded." To the Gastly: "...I don't know what to say to you. Just keep up the good work like when you captured the Spinarak."

OOG: Should I still be posting on this thread? *watches mine grow cobwebs*
Kurisutaru shines up Skarsgard's various metal wings, tail and head, while allowing Venom to remain out of her pokeball and crawl around them. "I hope you'll like it with us, Venom--I'll let you out of that pokeball whenever we have free time. I want you to be as comfortable as possible with Skarsgard and me."

When can Randy walk again?

Randy can walk again. OOG: K, when you and fred part ways you go back to yours, ok? It is also the next day, the morning crisp and with a swelling of excitement in the trainers lungs, they feel ready to face Brock.

Randy admits to being a bit nervous at facing Brock. She's not sure if these particular Pokémon are up to the challenge. But she knows that if she has faith in them they should be able to surmount even Brock's Rock-types.
OOG: Can we use items in battle like in the games?

Kurisutaru smiles lightly, nodding in agreement with Randy. She was fairly confident in Skarsgard's abilities, and perhaps Venom would be able to slow some things down if possible. Otherwise, she simply felt ready. She reassures Randy by saying, "There's always the chance to return and do it again!"

[glow=green,2,300]OOG: Yes you may. Allright, so Kurisutaru and Randy head to the gym, and after struggling at the door,, which was heavy stone, looked inside to what looked like a cave. There were balconies above for spectators, but the area looked like a shelled out arena from a cave. In the middle, standing with his arms crossed, was Brock. "You kept me waiting long enough..." He said solemnly. Brock was a giant of a man, with muscles that matched his grandiose aura. They weren't massive or deformed, but it was definately apparent that the man was not someone to anger on whim. His eyes appeared closed, but they were open. Also, his hair was spiked and brown, again complimenting his nearly brown tanned skin. Despite his imposing appearance, he seemed like a nice guy, at least, according to Skarsguard, whom didnt seem offended by him at all. "This is interesting... Why would someone like you come here?" He asked, looking at Randy.[/glow]
