So who goes first?

A faceless trainer stands across from Randy, the slightly slimmer but longer Steelix undulating fiercely. The faceless trainer points to Randy's steelix and the serpent of steel throws it's weight into Randy's steelix.

My Steelix will coil to make the other Steelix charge straight into its Binding form and begin to Bind, using the sound of the scraping to disrupt his foe.

Unfortunately, it affects the other Steelix as much as it affects yours, None at all. It binds around you as well coiling and tangling itself within you. It's eyes are glowing, it is about to unleash some sort of attack. You have a turn to respond as a Trainer.

Wait, so my trainer herself might be harmed by this?

No. Up until now, you have made your commands as a pokemon. However, this is a trainer battle, andas a trainer you may only command a pokemon and use items. It is up to me whether the attack is successful or is even used, depending on the pokemon's loyalty to you. You may tell it what to do.

Oh, right. I'm doing that as a shorthand. Obviously you determine the success of an attack.
Randy calls out, "Steelix! You can beat this clown! Use sound, screw up his equilibrium, then use that to get your binding around his neck!"

The sound of the sluightly larger steelix throws the other off guard, causing the HYPER BEAM (Holy shit) to only barely graze the side of your steelix's body, melting a bit of the outer shell of steel. The steelix seemed to have put a lotinto that attack and could not dodge the large tower of steel slamming into it, sending it flying at the ground. Fred's steelix bind's the other steelix, but it has added effect rage that cannot be rescinded by the trainer at this time. IT is damaging tohe other steelix greatly, but also overexerting itself and doing damage to itself. The faceless trainer points to the smaller steelix, and the beast instantly recovers from its exhaustion, choosing to use it's dragonbreath on the weaker formation of steel. Little damage is done. It looks like barring a miracle your steelix will win.

Randy calls out, "Crush its skull! Finish it off!" She wants her Steelix to crush the other Steelix's skull with a massive body blow.

A rather morbid end to a more realistic battle, tons of steel put pressure on the weakened steelix's head, crushing it and causing the beast to crumple on the floor. The trainer also collapses but he does it obi wan style. You got: Metal coat X2 Protein X2 Iron X2
500 Poke
Rank upgrade Previous rank: n00b New Rank: Rookie- Your stats as a trainer go up, as well as your pokemons trust in you. This does not necessarily mean it's obedience. Also, you may use Bravado once every three battles (this ability only in the trainer battles section) Bravado causes your pokemon to get a slight strength and speed bonus, howeverit should only be used on easy battles because you basically trust the pokemon to it's own strategies and you cannot recall or use items on it.

So how do I use the Protein, Iron and Metal Coat? And what's 500 Poke?

Metal coat has to be applied. It can be done in the next city. Iron and Protein raise defense and attack respectively, and are usually given as treats when a pokemon obeys or does a good job. 500 poke is FIVE HUNDRED SMACKERS!
