Style Description: The power in this style lies in speed and strength working together as one. With training, the user learns how to use fast movements along with powerful attacks, all while having fluid motions. The motive of this style is to end battles as quick as possible, rushing in and taking down the opponent with power. Although it is best to be used one on one, there are special cases where the style has been used to take on multiple opponents, although the outcomes of this never really looked good
There are certain things the user must be to become an expert at this style. The user has to have the strength to lift the weights that are required for training in this style. They have to have fast movements to go in and end battles as quick as possible. Above all else, the user has to have the iron will it takes to raise in the ranks of this style. It calls for long hours of training at the beach, going against the waves in order to learn the fluid movements of the style with the Bo Staff. Once they have all three of these, then the user can begin his training into the Wave Style of the Bo Staff.
There is a weakness in the style that can be taken advantage of if the opponent is faster than the user of this style. Because of the weights used by the training, they leave ringed scars around the areas of the limb where they are hung. This leads to weakened bones, muscles, and skin in that area, so if hit directly with a strong blow, the users body part from the scar and down would become useless.
A: Speed
B: Strength
C: Stamina
D: Tactics
E: Intelligence
Style Basis: Weapon
Training Methods: To excel in the art of Nami Sensu, one must tie Wave Weights to their legs and feet and train in the most extreme of waves. Prime times to train would include monsoon season for the waves are at their peek then. The reason for this, is so the user will train the strength of their arms and still gain the fluent motion of the waves. The same goes for the users legs, which will gain speed as the user trains and will flow like water. There is an extreme amount of weights that must go on each user’s legs and arms and are as follow
Genin: 50 lbs per limb
Chuunin: 100 lbs per limb
Jounin: 200 lbs per limb
Because of this serious training, the users are usually quite bulky in their physical attributes by a young age, but still retain speed in their movements. This is all to train to destroy enemies by using quick speeds with powerful attacks to end engagements as quick as possible.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage One:
Stat Requirements: 5 Strength, 3 Speed
Stage Bonuses: +5 Strength, +4 Speed
Movement: There is nothing special about the users movement other than they move faster than an average person. They have yet to even learn the fluid movements of the style and are predictable in their attacks and movements, so they are easily dodged and hit.
Power: At this point the user can easily bruise an opponent. Although not very much, with enough bruises the opponent can get very annoyed and maybe let their guard down. The user isn’t very strong at this point.
Accuracy: There is no accuracy what so ever at this point. The user simply relies on luck, hoping to land a hit on the opponent while they swing randomly using all their power and might.
Stances: none
Regular Techniques: Chiri Nami (Dust Wave)
Description: By using their Bo Staff, the user uses it like a broom, wiping the butt of it on the ground. This will cause dust and dirt to rise off of the ground and go wherever the user aims it.
Special Techniques: 3 Special Techniques Sacrificed
Stage Two:
Stat Requirements: 8 Strength, 6 Speed, 6 Tactics
Stage Bonuses: +5 Strength, +4 Speed
Movement: The user can now move faster than before. With a quick burst of their speed, they can try and catch an opponent off guard, hopefully ending the battle quickly. Their movements show signs of fluid motions, but nothing able to be used in battle.
Power: The user can break a wooden panel with a well place hit. Now imagine that as an opponent’s limb and the pain it could cause. Even though the user can’t do much to the opponent, they can still annoy him and hurt him enough to become a nuisance.
Accuracy: There is now little accuracy in the user’s ability while hitting with his staff, however, there is very little chance of hitting the opponent at this time. They can take the time to aim and then try to hit an opponent, but that time is wasted and can be taken advantage of by the opponent.
Stances: none
Regular Techniques: Uzumaki Tabi (Whirlpool Trip)
Description: A simple technique which requires balance on the user’s part. Using the Bo Staff, the user holds it out, making the end of it around an inch off of the ground. Then the user spins and aims at a opponents leg, hopefully tripping them if caught off guard.
Special Techniques: 3 Special Techniques Sacrificed
Stage Three:
Stat Requirements: 11 Strength, 9 Speed, 8 Tactics
Stage Bonuses: +5 Strength, +4 Speed
Movement: The user can now run circles around average people or unmoving targets with ease. Now they can try to confuse inexperienced opponents and hopefully find openings during that moment of time. They can move somewhat with the fluid motion in battle, just barely able to use it.
Power: With either one very well placed strike or two normal strikes, the user can break the opponents bones and try to render them helpless. This is very handy as the user wants to take them out as quickly as possible.
Accuracy: Using the little fluid motion, the user can aim very little while moving in battle. There is little chance of hitting then, but it’s not random as it was before. If taken time to aim, there is a smaller gap in time that there was before.
Stances: none
Regular Techniques: Yakyuu Yurasu (Baseball Swing)
Description: Another very simple technique which requires strength and the use of the Bo Staff. Putting the staff over the shoulder, the user holds it like they would a baseball bat. The user can use the fluid motion of the style to aim at projectiles and deflect them. It’s also good to hit oncoming or charging opponents in the head or the back.
Special Techniques: 3 Special Techniques Sacrificed
Stage Four:
Stat Requirements: 16 Speed, 14 Strength, 14 Tactics, 13 Stamina
Stage Bonuses: +5 speed, +4 Strength
Movement: The user can now use burst of speed to disappear to inexperienced opponents. This can lead to confusion and opening in the target to hit and end battles fast. The fluid motion is improved from before, the user slightly knowing where he wants his next move to be placed.
Power: A single strike with the bo staff can break bones easily. If the full force is used on an opponents limb, they could be rendered helpless if the impact landed, breaking their arms or their legs. If hit hard enough, the user could probably make the opponent go unconscious with a blow to the head.
Accuracy: Using the fluid movements, the user now has little accuracy while moving. They have a better chance to hit a target in battle, and if they take time to aim stopped, there is only a couple of seconds needed then.
Stances: none
Regular Techniques: Tsunami Dageki (Tidal Wave Strike)
Description: The user uses their Bo Staff as a pole vault to go over or above the opponent. If going over, when the user lands they have an opportunity to hit the opponent’s back. If going above, the user can act like a tidal wave, making the Bo Staff curve above them and using gravity to strike the opponent from above.
Special Techniques: 3 Special Techniques Sacrificed
Stage Five:
Stat Requirements: 20 Speed, 18 Strength, 18 Stamina, 16 Tactics
Stage Bonuses: +5 speed, +4 Strength
Movement: The user now can use quick burst to move in zigzag motion, confusing some opponents into thinking they are teleporting. Their running speed has also improved to where they can last longer while running. They can use these two assets to find openings in opponents and use them to their full advantage, though they are still able to be seen and dodged. The fluid motion is now clearly seen and the staff has a sense of direction as of where to go.
Power: Here the users power with a bo staff can crack a tree with a single strike by merely force. If the staff were to hit an opponent, they would easily be rendered helpless by a broken bone, or unconscious if hit in the head hard enough.
Accuracy: Although not perfected, the accuracy of the user in battle is close to it. They can nearly hit their opponent most of the time while moving, or they can take time to aim. At this point, there is no gap between stopping and aiming, making the user deadly.
Stances: none
Regular Techniques: Iwa Tsunami (Rock Tidal Wave)
Description: By sheer force alone, the user uses his Bo Staff and puts it over his shoulder like a baseball bat. However, instead of aiming at anything, they hit the ground towards their opponent. The strength of them and the Bo Staff will cause rocks the size of fist or smaller to spring out of the ground and hit the opponent.
Special Techniques: 3 Special Techniques Sacrificed
Stage Six:
Stat Requirements: 26 Speed, 25 Stamina, 24 Strength, 18 Tactics, 18 Intelligence
Stage Bonuses: +5 speed, +4 Strength
Movement: The user is now a blur to some shinobi, moving so fast they can cause dizziness in some opponents. Their normal running has caught up to their burst, making them deadly and they can easily spot openings in opponents. At this point they can also find openings in the enemy’s attacks, thought not utilizing this to their full advantage. The fluid movement hasn’t changed much except in accuracy.
Power: The users power is so strong it’s not even funny. With enough force to splinter a tree into thousands of pieces, this makes the user very deadly indeed. If the staff were to hit the opponent, they would easily go unconscious, but they might also die from the impact (with the opponent’s permission).
Accuracy: The user can now his most shinobi while attacking or moving around at fast speeds. Unless the opponent dodges, the user can almost guarantee a hit on the area they want thanks to the fluid motions.
Stances: none
Regular Techniques: Sho Hittingu Ame (Many Hitting Rain)
Description: Using simply speed and some power, the user raises the Bo Staff and aims the tip at the opponent. For this to work the opponent has to be in range of the Bo Staff when it’s stretched out. The user shoves the Bo Staff out as fast as he can and then retracts it once it reaches its full length outwards. They then continue to do this until they either stop on their own or are forced to stop by the opponent.
Special Techniques: 3 Special Techniques Sacrificed
Stage Seven:
Stat Requirements: 34 Speed, 33 Stamina, 32 Strength, 22 Tactics, 22 Intelligence
Stage Bonuses: +5 speed, +4 Strength
Movement: The user is now almost invisible except to trained shinobi while using their burst of speed. Their normal running is even faster, letting them run most of the battle to end it as quick as possible. They can also use openings in their opponents attack to their full advantage, and see one in defenses, although they can’t clearly get past them. The fluid motion is now perfected, the user having a sense of direction equal almost to none and dodging attacks even in mid air. The accuracy has also improved from this.
Power: The user’s strength hasn’t really increased in power that much. If the full power is ever used in a strike on an opponent, power enough to splinter trees and crack boulders in half, opponents will easily go unconscious or could get killed (with the opponents permission).
Accuracy: Through fluid motions of the Bo Staff, the user now has perfected their accuracy with the staff. When aiming, the user doesn’t even hesitate to attack, knowing exactly where the opening of an opponent is. While in battle, they can hit most shinobi where ever they want, although it’s still hard to hit fast shinobi who can dodge quickly.
Stances: none
Regular Techniques: Ame no Iwa (Rain of Rock)
Description: The strongest normal technique used by Bo Staff: Wave Style users. Using strength and speed together, the user does the same thing as in Rock Tidal wave and Many Hitting Rain. Instead of small rocks coming from the ground, though, the user is now strong enough to make a giant boulder, having around a 10ft radius, spring forth from the ground. Then while using their staff, they continually hit the boulder using speed and strength. Long pieces of rock will fly out where the boulder was hit, and each piece has enough strength to sprain muscles. Afterward, the user gets tired from and must rest for 5 posts, minus one for every 10 stamina the user has.
