Born in a small settlement in the mountains of the Ubrean Valley Boris was talented at everything he attempted, from farming to hunting to even learning his letters. As a son of a minor noble he had many opportunities that the other local children did not have yet he was deeply dissatisfied with his life, knowing without knowing that there were things greater than him or his life. On one summer day in his fifteenth year the Khador Military came for the draft assuming like for the last several centuries the locals would jump to enlist. Boris watching from afar noticed that one member of the draft company was unusual, carrying a book and an interesting assortment of strange yet entrancing devices. Without realizing it he had wandered down into the circle of hopeful draftees, at a closer glance the man Boris realized had to be one of the infamous Greylords the mages of Khador known realm wide for their loyalty and the great power at their disposal. To his extreme surprise the Greylord was staring right back at him, giving Boris an appraising look. The next few years were a rush of new ideas and information, yet that day stuck out clear, as the beginning to his life as a Greylord himself for unbeknownst to anyone he had a great potential for the arcane arts and once he began studying the reserves he had seemed limitless.
Years Later…
Boris Chekhov the humble boy excited at the idea of a Greylord, now is known as Boris the Frozen Owl of the North, the infamous Greylord who single handedly fought off a Cygnar Warcaster with a full, fresh squad to defend the lives of Khador’s remaining survivors of the Fifth Regiment after their devastating loss at the Cygnar Pass. Boris known for the giant owl he rides, is one of the most dedicated men in the Khador military. Currently one of three living men to possess the Banner of Khador the highest honor in the Khador’s military history, belonging to both the Greylords and more recently the Illuminated Ones, and a full Colonel to boot, the young noble has become a man of extreme recognition for being the one to handle the improbable and complete the impossible no matter how bad the odds.
Standing at a towering six and a half feet tall and weighing around two-hundred and seventy pounds, a muscular and agile man, sadly slowed down by the wound to his left leg at his glorious Rescue of the Fifth that won him the Banner. He is an impressive sight with a tangled beard and flowing hair looking like an unkempt lion with just as much mass and power. Astride a ten foot tall snow owl and a miniature version kept on his wrist, the Frozen Owl of the North is well deserving of his name. Wielding a large sledgehammer and recurve bow, a decked out in leather armor of walrus hide and a armored coat covered with Artic Fox pelts for warmth, Boris only seems even more massive. As he speaks his voice is a surprisingly smooth velvety sound that carries well and is soothing to the ear. Over all from his size and strength alone not a man to tangle with and adding in the frightening stories of the icy powers at his command its not a surprise that he is given wide girth anywhere he goes.
