Aside from Tyrant, the first non-OGM trainer with real ability to train! [The Paradigm NPCs could train, but none are especially of the right temperament.] Interested characters can sign up to be trained by him here.

Jerry is totally up for this. He wants to learn how to become more self-sufficient. Making his own weaponry would be a great way to help that.

Yoshi would also teach more of the souls of weapons. Denios, Seiryu, Laura and Brent are also signed up, especially since they received his six weapons.

Alrighty, so, let's start!
Jerry looks to Yoshi, carrying his zanpakuto in their sheathes across the low of his back. He is in his Shinigami outfit and ready. He looks at Yoshi, hoping to become the best that he can be with Yoshi's training.

OOG: Where does Jerry want to train? CH, Soul Society, Ebon Dream, Spira's SCGA, Hueco Mundo...?

(Soul Society would probably be good.)

In a training area in Seireitei, Yoshi Sato stood. "I will engage in an exercise that Thrash Ranari did before me, preceded in turn by Li Mu Bai, albeit with different execution." A long stick was in his hand.

"Should I grab a stick?" Jerry asks, not sure if he is allowed to use his zanpakuto.

"You may use any weapon of your choice."

Jerry feels that using zanpakuto against a stick and losing would be embarassing, but he took comfort in knowing that it was wielded by a master. Skill outmatches items used at times and so he drew his original zanpakuto, holding it in a traditional kendo stance.

"Will you attack, or will I assume that role?"

Jerry decides that he'd look foolish answering with words. He holds the sword at an angle that would allow for an upward, diagonal slash from his right leg to his shoulder. He takes a measure-stepped jog towards Yoshi and reverses the blade of his zanpakuto so that once he performs the attack described above, he is actually trying to hit with the back of the blade, then from his left shoulder to his left leg, he strikes with the blade itself. The first strike is aimed to knock the blade from Yoshi's hands while the second one was meant to cut from the right shoulder to the hip.

The pliable stick warps upwards with the blow, allowing him to immediately circle about, stepping away and throwing Jerry's sword arm far off. Jerry then gets a face full of stick.

Jerry's tries to rotate backward then end up coming into an upward slash with the blade, trying to keep the bluriness from his eyes and keeping his body loose. He wanted to get a taste of Yoshi's style to see what he could do to counter it. He preferred a mix of hard and soft styles, but for this, he feels that hard would be best.

Yoshi is clearly not the type to move very much. He now puts the blade directly parallel to Jerry's slash, pushing it up. He then gets kicked in the chest.

(Is Yoshi kicking with his left or right foot? If left, this is the response)
Jerry tries turning his torso muscles rigid, setting the center of his gravity towards his chest, so as to use the hard style idea of breaking through rocks. Soft would dodge, hard wouldn't, it'd take the blow and keep on fighting. He will use this to try and keep from flying back. He'll attempt to grab at Yoshi's ankle with his free left hand, turn right so his left shoulder is facing his opponent, and aim a left-legged back kick toward's the exposed lower back.
(If this is a right legged kick, let me know and I'll adjust)

Right leg - he was striking with his front leg, which because his right is dominant is his right currently.

(He'll stick with the going rigid and keeping himself from flying back, the only thing I'm changing is...)
With his sword in his right hand, he'll turn to the left and drop his sword, using his left hand to grab at the heel and his right to grab the front of the base of Yoshi's foot, and kick at Yoshi with his right leg, aiming to kick it out from under Yoshi and throw him off. This will hopefully allow him to throw his leg back up and down on the point between Yoshi's right leg and hip, where they connect.

The problem with standing still against an adversary with any kind of strength that can damage you is that you receive 100% of the damage. Jerry takes a not-insubstantial blow. The leg is retracted an inch away from Jerry's hands, and a second snap kick kicks him in the arms. Yoshi does take the initial kick, but ducks underneath everything else, bobbing to the side where he grabs Jerry's zanpakuto. His blade is over Jerry's neck in a second. "Shinigami should not drop their blades", he comments.
