Everyone who wants Secret School Cert or has it but has not played through the process, do so here!
(Secret School Certfication is the Forbidden Merit wherein one gets their own school based on their unique combination of techniques and can begin to interweave their trainings. Without it, a plateau is inevitably reached and styles can only be combined to produce Legendary results.)

I know Jess and Jack have passed it. I dunno about Evan or Wyatt or Izabell. I'd be willing to struggle through the certs

Jess and Jack did it? When you fight through the various martial artists? Izabella's FAR too weak for it. Evan or Wyatt would be a no.

We went over what had happened on msn, so umm whom is left to do it, and when can we do it?

Evan and Wyatt.

I suppose they will both take the test then. if one at a time Evan first.

They can do what Jess/Jack did and take it together.

Then I suppose they will do so. Let it begin.

The first enemy the two allies face as they walk through the great pagoda is a octoman holding four force beads, an ax, a sword and a gun.

Evan will nudge Jack and they will bow the the Octoman in sucession. Evan will pull out his Pick, and Jack his blades. They will both through up barries. Then wait for the man to attack first.

Usage of skills outside of Technique and Ki is typically frowned down upon and can disqualify you.

I see, then scratch there move.
Evan will pull out his warpick and manuaver into his most agressive stance.
Wyatt will pull out excalibour and get into his most defensive stance.
Evan will use his blinding speed kata and rush forward, and to the octo's right side attempting to disarm and stab him with spinning strikes, kicks, elbows, and locks best he can.
Wyatt will rush forward as well, and attempt to do one massively powerful thrust into the being.

The Octoman successfully trips Evan, which costs his turn and does some damage. However, that leaves it open for the Excalibur thrust. It isn't quite dead, but it's going to go down very soon.

Evan on the ground will attempt to use his floored position to blow out the octo's knees and or feet so he too will collapse to the floor.

Blow it out... how?

Post by Ainsophaur on Jan 4, 2006 22:57:43 GMT -5
With some strong kickin action yo.

Kicking action does work, but the octoman's tendrils don't break exactly like a normal human's. Two are crushed badly. The thing can't fight back for at least one turn, so this fight is over.
Next, the two face a Rahu-Man using a Zwittentang and with both palms open, and another Rahu-Man with two hands index finger extended and two hands making a beak shape.

Wyatt and Evan both put there weapons away, and manuaver into HtH styles, evan with take the beak shaped hand dude, and use a classical Xeno Style.
Wyatt will use a juicer wrestling technquie type and propare to spear the open palm dude once in range.

Juicer Wrestling? How does Wyatt do Juicer Wrestling? He's not a Juicer, to the best of my knowledge, and unlike a Juicer, he doesn't have bio-comm regulated reflexes and speed, is slower but stronger, and has a barrier.
Evan goes first.

I remember, when you were telling me about wyatt he'd had grown up with demon's juicers...etc...I'd have figured he might have picked up a few tips.
Evan will rush the beak dude, with a whirl wind of fists and spinning backhands, maybe throw in a few snap and hip kicks.

|
|

Being a Juicer is not about tips, typically. Juicers are bio-chemically modified warriors. Their powers have to do with their biocomms, with rare exceptions (such as Daedrous) and with the obvious caveat of other classes. Aside from that they're typically martial artists and commando-types, though there are Juicer Gladiators, Assassins, Sportsmen, Commandos, Ninja Juicers, etc. Your initial request was like, "Use a borg wrestling technique and..." Insofar as they have techniques, they're oriented towards their own unique designs, such as Machine Klatsch or Panzer Kunst.
Evan rushes in with a spinning backhand, only to see his foe cock one leg up and deliver a devastating snap kick. The kick intercepts Evan's motion and shuts down the backhand, though he isn't ready for the sheer power of Evan's motion that pushes him back. Evan has more opportunity.

Shae's first fight is a mutant bear fittingly enough using Choy Li Fut, Bear Style.

So, am I allowed to use anything other than physical attacks?

You're proving your martial art's superiority. That might include ki, psi, magic, etc. depending on your art, but it will not be all of your abilities.

Well, then, this get sslightly more challenging. And by slightly more challenging, I mean insanely hard, and I will get my ass kicked.
Okay. I'm going to start off by pulling out my regular Gambit staff, then channeling a small concussive charge at the tip.

OOG: *rolls eyes* Your trainers include Kilik, Frog, Robo, Viewtiful, Buu, Donatello, Hughes, Yoda, and Mace.
Also, just a piece of advice: I'd recommend a little more information for martial arts fights. For example, I like the strategy wherein you begin with a bare wooden staff so as to keep some secrets and maintain your energy, and obviously the exploding channel is a classic. But how will you advance? A straight charge for raw offense? Perhaps an array of one-handed swinging strikes? Will you come up low or high? What will you target? What will your stance be/look like/emphasize? Will you have any backup for defense (i.e. a Maes knife in hand, or your Wondershot ready to be quickdrawn)?

|
Post by draco on Feb 18, 2006 1:01:09 GMT -5
Well, I guess I'll start out in Ling Sheng Su Bo standard stance, staff at the ready, with a Maes knife ready to be whipped out at a moment's notice. Wait for the bear to make the first move, and study the way it moves, looking for vital points.

Choy Li Fut is a style that immediately attacks, using flurries of snap kicks, hand strikes and back sweeps. It builds chi, is a long hand style with a lot of fist and arm attacks, etc. The bear advances forward, one foot facing you, one foot at a right angle.

Evan willtake the opertunity of the octoman being pushed back by the hit to make a grab for its tenticals and attempt to grapple it into a position that Wyatt can take it out with his Sword.
Wyatt will assist by rushing in with a shoulder bash high on the things upper body.
