The interceptor rushes barely by Hack, missing by around a hundred feet (very small margin in this space). As it rushes, its jets create a plume of emissions that strike Hack. He'll have to work that into the dive. How will he?

He'll basically pull a cosmic power turn and cut short the dive

Again: What is a Cosmic Power turn? You mean like Silver Surfer?

A power turn is that tire skidding turn that you see in a lot of street racing games, good for cornering but kills a lot of speed

...Right, I got that, but why did you call it a cosmic power turn? Because you're in space? Anyways: The sudden change in both trajectory and direction turns the Black Widow around completely.
The Veritech fires wide-spread fragmentation missiles at the interceptor. The thing miraculously spins endlessly in a pattern that keeps it from being struck... but then the Reflex cannon the Veritech pulls out strikes it directly. In one single gleaming moment, the foe is incinerated. The man hoots and hollers. "You're not half bad in that flying bucket of yours. Name's Pyetja Zendress."

"....Hack? What the hell kind of last name is that? Anyways, you seem to be heading into the Imperium. Mind caravanning with me?"

"sure, why not"

Pyetja flies off at incredible speeds. "Keep up... if you can!" He seems to deliberately taunt Hack through incredibly complex vehicular motions.

"ass" hack follows, beling blackwidows grace by simply flaying after him

Pyetja fires off some transmission. "What's your destination? I'd ask what you're doing, but I'm running a mission for the UN Spacy and I imagine you're here on top secret coverup shit too."

Pyetja says. "Hmm. Then we may be together a bit longer, I'm going to Brinxa-IV too."

The two pass through empty space. There is an impalpable feel of evil that strikes as the two pass a certain location. Pyetja calls out, as if to fill the silence with brashness, "The Curse Eye. It's located in the Imperator's Palace and lets the current Imperator survey his domains."
Suddenly, about the group is a group of demonically-styled ships. No hailing or warning is given; instead, flame jets come at them from around four different angles.

Yes, but why that particular manuever? Why not an ability, or fire missiles back, or...?

How much of your arsenal?

Post by Vincent Hack on Oct 2, 2006 11:35:31 GMT -5
well four seems the most logical number
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Oct 2, 2006 19:50:46 GMT -5
Why is it logical? What spread are you thinking? The attacks are coming from across several thousand miles of space.

Post by Vincent Hack on Oct 6, 2006 23:53:24 GMT -5
one from each attack, or is it more of a bombardment
|
|
|
Post by Frederic Bourgault-Christie on Oct 11, 2006 4:36:21 GMT -5
It's more of a wide spread tactical bombardment.
